So, it's a 2 piece. The skirt band is stretchy and roomy however, there is no stretch to the corset but can expand with the ties in the back. After reading reviews I opted for a x-large and it wasn't till I took it out to try on that the tags read small. (See pic) I immediately packed back up and returned, and purchased something else. I will say that it felt very well made and looked beautiful. Oh and feel for my height and weight a large would have sufficed.

Such a cute corset!! Unfortunately it just didnt look good on my body type (self conscious about pug around arms lol) fit perfectly for the size I got, would have give 5 stars but did not receive the skirt that goes with it.
