Base bore for cylinder is larger than my chair, by 1/8 of an inch, I fashioned a shim to slip around the cylinder. It works great now.

    • bad caster mounts cause bad wheel movement / screws loose after a day

It's usable, but wheels constantly drag when moving back and forth (rollerblade style casters) on a concrete floor with office carpet on top as well as directly on the concrete.. I didn't have this same problem with my original base and the same set of wheels. The mount points for the casters only make contact with a small portion of the shaft and allow for excessive movement in the shaft rather than fully stabilizing the post. Used my chair with the replacement base for a day and though fully tightened at assembly, all 10 screws had loosened after a day of use. didn't keep the caster set that came with the base or I would return it and buy something else. I may just write this base off completely and order a different base from someone else. ... show more

    • Rollers will not roll right

This is my 2nd time buying this base. I got a new chair, needed a new base ( wheels got messed up on the other). But these will not roll right this time. Its like the wheels won't spin around when they need to and then the chair won't move. Didn't have this problem the 1st time. Very disappointed
