The texture and color is stunning. Our living room is predominantly brown/black wood and these lamps compliment the space so well. Love the color of the base and size of the overall lamp. I like that the lamp shade is lighter too so it lets the light shine thru better.

They were much larger than I expected, which is not a bad thing. They look very substantial and expensive. These lamps exceeded my expectations!

    • Beautiful lamps for the guest room
I like the shape and size of the bases and shades. The hammered metal look is very attractive, and the height of the lamps with shades is perfect for reading in bed. The bases are heavy and wide enough that the lamps are unlikely to fall over the way the previous lamps, with narrow bases, sometimes did. The color of the bases is slightly disappointing, as it is not the brown shown online, but more of a slightly greenish gray. However, the lamps are so attractive I will simply place new accessories on the bedside tables that will compliment the color. It is not an unattractive color, just not the brown I expected. Delivery was much faster than promised, and as others have said, the bases and shades were packed separately, with such an overabundance of protective measures that unpacking everything took a lot of time and effort, but well worth it. ... show more

First of all, these lamps were packed so well I could hardly get them out of the box! I would not have it any other way. Second, not too big or small. Third, they look very substantial and expensive.
