I find the hate for fram filters to be dumb, I change my oil every 5k miles and have used many brands, with the exception a very specific vehicles being picky about filters (pressures or clearances) these work fine. The grip makes it easy to apply by hand so you don't over tighten it and my socket fits it perfectly. Sure I could pay double for oil and filter and go 10k miles by why... it takes 10mins to change my oil. ... show more

Received the filter, Seems to be well-constructed. Packaging looked brand new however filter didn't have normal plastic seal, paint chips around filter rim. Filter does seem to be new. Installed and running well so far (approx 250 miles in) using it. Only critique is quality control from above mentioned issues and wish texture on filter was a little more coarse for more grip.
