Caveat: I’m only mounting a tiny webcam to this stand for Zoom, so no comment on its weight bearing capability. I needed a rigid stand for my webcam that can easily swing out of my way when not in use. The stand is serves the purpose. Pro: the sand is stable and sturdy when the teethed joints are locked. It rotates freely on the base clamp, swings away when I don’t need it Con: cheap ball joint that can’t be fully tightened and is always a bit loose. Good thing my webcam is light. Looses 1 star for that. I’ve had it for 2 weeks so no comment on durability. I will update my review when it breaks. If it breaks a week from now, I’ll downgrade my rating. If it lasts longer than I expected before it breaks, I will upgrade my rating. ... show more

I needed something for overhead video in my tiny studio and don't have space for an open tripod. This works fabulously with my mirrorless camera combined with a very heavy DSLR lens& lens adapter. Style: Overhead Camera Mount
It is solid compared to many other brands. The three segments screw together tightly. Poles are lightweight but sturdy aluminum while the connectors are a hardened plastic with stainless screws. Great for microphones, web cams, and lightweight DSLR's or Mirrorless cameras but I wouldn't trust an expensive camera on it (it does flex significantly under the weight of a Canon R5 with a 24-105 lens and any slight movement of the camera and it bobs up and down significantly). Will it work on your heavier camera, Yes... but I'd be cautious. The phone holder is also useless unless you have an older smaller phone or a larger newer phone with no case. ... show more

I was actually able to break it into 2 different mounts. one clamped and holding a snowball mic above me and the other I mounted directly to a bench with 1 extension for an over head.
