There is a lot to assemble but the cabinet and fittings seem well made. And, the result is very sturdy cabinet. And they sent a few extra pieces of some screws and fittings. I wish the drawers had full ball-bearing slides so they could extend further out but I knew the kind of slides it had when I bought it. And, the drawers are very sturdy and slide smoothly in and out. The assembly instructions are pretty thorough although it took a while to figure out some of the drawings. Where it is very easy to go wrong, they provide drawings of right and wrong ways. Pay close attention. That's where you sometimes have to ponder "what is significantly different in the 2 drawings". I made a couple mistakes. Good thing is you can just disassemble and fix it. But try to play close attention as you go. I assembled it by myself with little physical difficulty. I used the full-size foam packing slabs to protect the cabinet and floor. There was one area I was not comfortable with how they said to do it. It has to do with installing the first parts of the back of the cabinet. They show just attaching the #14 pieces to the center divider and leaving them hanging unsupported elsewhere. Past experience said that was not a good idea for ME. So, I got some boxes to prop them up so I could not do something that resulted in me somehow breaking them off. We got the white one with rustic top. I think I might have liked the all-rustic one better for where we have it but the head of the household said ix-nay on rustic and I did not want a black top.

This buffet cabinet was 6 hours of my life lost putting it together! I am not exaggerating either; 6 hours! I started putting this together for my wife in the early afternoon and took a lunch break and a dinner break and ended up finishing close to 8pm. I’ve put together my fair share of furniture in my 20 years of marriage but this one took the cake! I truly can’t believe how long and how difficult this thing was to put together! It will really help if you have a set of nice hex wrenches and are able to not use the included hex wrench as it is too small for human hands, although it is nice they do include something. The instructions could be a LOT more clear than what they are and were a major reason as to why it took so long for me to put together. After you’re done assembling this thing it ends up looking quite nice once built! It looks like it costs more than it does. Of course once you interact with it you know you’re touching MDF and the hinges are not quality slow-close hinges (which you can upgrade yourself). My wife also said the hardware looks a bit cheap and plans on replacing them with some real metal knobs. But you get what you pay for and this is most certainly a lot cheaper than solid wood with quality hardware. However, it doesn’t look cheap in my opinion. All in all it is a nice buffet but definitely a chore to put together. I hope this review was helpful to you in some way. Cheers!

This is the cutest buffet cabinet I’ve ever bought it fits right into place with my other furniture it’s very roomy on the inside and very bright in color. The white and black compliments each other and delivery was pretty quick the package came unassembled there was multiple pieces emphasizing on multiple it took some time to put together. But it was pretty easy to put together. Instructions were very simple to read. And it had All its parts( no parts missing). No scratch or ding it was in perfect Condition. The only issue I have is after assembling The doors had a small gap between them very noticeable, but I can live with it. I try to adjust, but the gap was still there. This cabinet Quality is very strong, durable, sturdy, and stable. You would love this piece run and buy.

Absolutely love this piece. The box showed up neat to heck. I was really concerned that pieces inside may be damaged but it was packaged really well - no damage! I went into this knowing (after reading reviews) that it was going to take a while to build. I built it on my own in about 2 and a half hours - just taking my time and moseying through it, jamming out to some good tunes. I was impressed with the way it is constructed - most pieces like this don’t have the back so securely attached (while many are just held in with nails, this actually has slots the boards slide into, with pieces you hammer in to help with stability). All of the holes lined up. Everything was labeled very well. The instructions were very easy to follow - just make sure you’re taking the time to ensure you have the pieces facing the right way). This piece is STURDY and absolutely beautiful. I’ve been looking for something like this for months but was hesitant to spend $500+ for something like this, which was about the going rate at local furniture stores. Great value. Great purchase. I love it!!

TWO PERSON BUILD!!! Hints to build at end of this review. Absolutely INSANE PRODUCT that took me 9 hours to build! I'm livid! Go to a department store and buy a better quality product. NOT WORTH THE MONEY OR TIME!! Engineered wood means laminated particle board. Pick your poison on product material preferences. The issues: #1.) PRIVATE SELLER ON AMAZON- meaning it's coming Fed Ex and HEAVY!! Like over 100lb box! My grown son who's a welder could barely lift it to get it in the house. #2.) Screw locking rivets to NOT Anker to the wood and kept falling out #3.) "wooden dowels" (pieces of thick cork) are NOT snug like I would have liked #4.) very few "stickies to cover the metal rivets that kept falling out. I had to use white duct tape. I'm disgusted! #5.) Step G & I were irrelevant to my product build. Now I got extra parts I don't need. #6.) 1/2 inch gap between my cupboards doors when closed. #7.) Product needs wooden nubs to seel off rivets. It looks tacky with hardware exposed. OR make the hardware the same color as the product. #8.) one door hinge was bent. I had to call my son to bend it back for me HINTS: Build it on the actual cardboard box. It makes it easier to move around the product. You will be flipping it about 3-4 times as you build. So don't build alone when building. If you don't have help, the product will get damaged during the flips. Do NOT throw out the styrofoam. You're going to need it to lift and balance the sides and doors as you try to hook everything together. Use a drill and drill bits to build. A screw driver and or Allen wrench won't do the job. Pay attention to the diagram and the hole placement. I buily the sides upside down and had to redo them. Have white duct tape on handy. Even though I had a drill the rivets don't grip and fell out. I had to duct tape them in place until the cabinet was built. I will be going back over this shelf, once I'm done being mad at it, and GLUEING it together with clear drying carpentry glue. Overall: it was a lighter product once built. I want to say its darling but the gaps due to the short doors is disappointing and ruined the esthetics. I want to love this product, but I can. It was a nightmare product. Leave it to the department store to assemble and pay the higher price. Not worth the hassle!! Not worth losing 9 hours over- or as one guy said in the comments, his took 6 to build!! Overall storage capacity and height: exactly what I wanted. Deep sturdy shelves. Nice quiet closing drawers. Semi-gloss smooth finish. Comes to about waist high on a 5'8" person. Easy to shift around. Comes with wall ankers of needed.
