I’ve been using a fossil backpack for over a year now and it held up really well to my abuse. I wanted to downsize because my kids are older and I just don’t have a need for as much stuff in my purses. Pros: it feels like fossil quality, which I’ve always found to be fantastic for the price you pay. I’m the type to carry one purse daily and only switch to smaller bags for special occasions where I don’t need all my stuff, so it needs to be solid and well made. This has plenty of space for all my little needs-wallet, first aid kit, hygiene pouch, pill container and all the other little odds and ends fit nicely with room to spare. It’s a classic black leather bag and looks nice and understated. Cons: the only cons are just my personal preferences. The little carrying straps can only be held in your hand or slung on your forearm, if you want to carry on your shoulder you have to use the long strap that came with and frankly digs in uncomfortably. I like satchel style bags but tote straps. But I knew when I ordered that that would probably be the case.

I love Fossil products. I purchased this purse at a great price and received many compliments on it. I love having the brown leather strap handles as well as a shoulder strap. Well made, received in a timely manner and it is a very classy looking bag. It is just the right size and the zipper works fine. It is a well designed purse and looks great. There was one review that said this bag is the perfect large capacity small purse which is exactly what I was looking for, and that's exactly what this handbag is. I'm not much of a purse person– I actually haven't been using one for years but I've been tired of making due just carrying my phone/wallet in my hands. If I was going to buy a purse for the first time in a 5 years I wanted it to be a nice one. So here! I did the deciding for you: The design and shape is nice and casual but so clean and professional looking. It feels luxurious but not too flashy. I love the handles and i thought i wouldn't like them sticking up all the time– now I'd prefer it. The zippers and interior are nice, and look at how much stuff can fit inside. It fits a tablet and huge headphone case, sunglass case, small notebook, large wallet, room for my phone, keys and lil spaces to spare. It's like a mini (but structured) duffel bag which I love for sitting next to me on a desk or car seat so it's easily open and accessible; exactly the style I wanted. I think this Fossil bag would make an extremely nice gift to anyone with a structured but casual style. The only tip I'd add is that the thin strap does dig in (soft girls) and isn't comfortable when the bag is filled for a long day out. This bag is adorable! Perfect size, plenty of room for the essentials and then some (the interior is a big cavern, so you may benefit from adding a purse organizer). The bag is stiff enough to hold its shape, but still comfortably flexible. The key pattern is so fun, both understated and interesting. For anyone worried about the handles wearing badly (there’s one review that shows the material stripping away), here’s a great hack that you can see in my photo: grab a set of purse scarves from Amazon and wrap them! They’ll protect your handles and add some personality too.

I don't normally write reviews for products, but I just unboxed this and felt that I should say this: this bag is perfect for my tastes and needs. Color and material: The "Black/Brown" color has a black leather cow-hide exterior with a sturdy textile interior. True, the straps aren't leather but they're still sturdy (I have a bag made of the same material from my middle school years and now that I'm an adult, it still looks new) and no one would notice otherwise unless they felt it anyway. It came slouchy and lacking structure but I'm attributing that to the fact that to heat. It lacks studs/feet on the bottom, and while this would be nice, I don't mind the lack of it enough to knock off a star. I'll just get a purse hook. Authenticity: It's a real fossil product. It came with care instructions and for those unaware, Fossil changed the design of their key trademark (if you don't believe me you can check their website). Size: This LOOKS small but it's damn close to a Mary Poppins bag. I vehemently checked with their customer service representatives (through both call and email several times) and measuring their given dimensions myself to make sure that it could fit my iPad (6th generation, 9.7") with its case on, AND the iPad Pro 11, in case I upgrade to it. One customer service representative said it would fit the iPad Pro 11 (2020) but not the iPad Air 3 (2020), but another rep said it would only fit 9.7" iPads. I mention the iPad Air because on their website, it says that this purse is compatible with it, but that might be referring to the iPad Air 2 and has yet to be updated. (I know I sound crazy for being so thorough lol) I took what the second rep said with a grain of salt because my measurements showed that the iPad Pro 11 was nearly the same size as my current iPad 6th gen (case and apple pencil included), and sure enough it fits with plenty of room to spare for my A5 bullet journal, wallet, makeup, etc. However, don't expect this to hold anything bigger, like a full-size textbook, binder, or any A4 notebook. I would include photos for this review if I knew how (I can't see the option to on my page?), but I will update should my opinion change.
