Complex, hilarious, and suuuuuper hot fujoshi

Beautifully written, this story felt real with deeply complex characters. Until the happy ending after where one of the male characters actually goes to therapy, when does that ever happen in real life??! I have to be careful how much spicy content I consume because it can certainly overstimulate my entirety (mind, body, and soul), yet the spice in here YEESH!! I lost sleep some nights to finish it all in three days. The spice and romance were all unique circumstances and very hot. For my fellow fujoshi gals, I’ll def be looking at more Nyla K, maybe next month to give my mind a break. Lastly, shout out to Avi, for being an opaque amalgam of complexities, he’s hilarious and the sassy brat I can relate to deeply. I can easily imagine him as Baldwin the eagle getting his dance on to aggravate Ky on the sidelines hehe.

High level Spice, but too long and preachy

Before I go on my rant about this book because I am a book snob, I will say this is absolutely worth the read. Despite all the good...and there's a lot...you're gonna enjoy it, the length killed me. Too many times I found myself asking, "ok, but when does it finally end?" You're gonna love one MC and hate to love the other. You're gonna love the plot, the side characters, and the spice is muy caliente, but the length...it didn't need to go for that long. Also, it goes off on some "God is good" diatribe that clips the wings of this high-soaring Icarus of an mm romance; it simply did not match with the OF scenes, drinking, drugs, etc. But anyway, I give kudos to this author for tackling some tough subjects, pushing past social norms to make forced family become chosen family, and giving our characters more than 3 positions in bed.

Everything I didn’t see coming!

Amazing! Omg, when the book was at 90% I was already thinking I can’t wait to read this again! I literally didn’t want it to end. Spicy, sensual, complicated, heartbreaking, heartwarming, swoony, just a beautifully written story! The chemistry between the main characters was breathtaking. A love story that I didn’t see coming. The spice is top tier. I’m saying 10/10 I couldn’t stop reading. Definitely in my top 5 books of the year!

This book is so much more than you’re expecting.

For the Fans is a poignant, harrowing and deeply felt story about identity and overcoming trauma, also a swoon-worthy love story that’s deeply romantic and emotional, but also hotter than hell. I had never heard of Nyla K before, and to be honest, an author without a last name is a red flag, but suffice it to say, girl knows what she’s doing. She achieves something kind of remarkable in this. It’s extremely addictive, and over the week and a half or so that it took me to read this, i found the part of my day that I most looked forward to was going home and spending more time with Kyran and Avi. Nyla’s attention to character detail is consistently fascinating and gradually pulls you in more as the book goes on, and the story is remarkably well paced, which is surprising for a book this long. I got sad when I started to near the end of this book just because I didn’t want my time with these characters to end. I’m very new to this genre, so I’m still kind of shocked when I read certain things. When I started this book and familiarized myself with the taboo, lurid premise, I thought, should I even be reading this? Or what if I end up loving this book, how am I going to recommend it to anyone? I’d surely sound like a lunatic. Anyway, now I don’t care if I do. I’d protect Kyran and Avi with my life. I absolutely fell in love with these two, and I think I’ll definitely be rereading this. I hear I really need to get the audiobook as well. I’ll definitely revive my Audible subscription for that. And of course, I’ll check out more Nyla K, probably sooner than later. I absolutely adored this book. It’s incredibly moving and emotionally cathartic, but also doubles down on the spice you’re here for. If there are any problems here, it would be that the ending may be a bit too much like idealized wish fulfillment. But considering how a lot of queer stories are so focused on sadness or illness or death, it feels cathartic and meaningful in its own way to leave Kyran and Avi where we leave them. Although I hope readers will see more of them one day, I’d also be totally satisfied if this is the end of their story. For the Fans made me all flustered and then it broke my heart. I originally just read it on KU but I loved it so much I had to get the fancy deluxe edition. And that alone should be enough to sell you on this.

Now a Nyla K Fan for life!

For the Fans is my first Nyla K MM Romance novel and I loved it- I literally could not put it down. Well written, great characters, compelling story- I love a 'hate to love' romance story and this one delivers. Super sexy and also funny, yet this story moved me to tears so many times, it is very clear this author has a deep understanding of the characters' issues and traumas. Technically this is a football sports MM romance, what is a super fun twist is the addition of the mascot- super endearing. I adored these characters so much, they now live in my head- I hope there will be a sequel.

Enemies to lovers, forced together by OnlyFans!

📖 For the Fans by Nyla K Rating: ★★★☆☆ An innovative premise doesn't always guarantee a convincing romance, and that's where "For the Fans" left me wanting more. The OnlyFans plot device was certainly a fresh take on the forced proximity trope, but I couldn't fully buy into Kyran and Avi's transformation from enemies to lovers. Kyran's journey from rigid football star to someone capable of vulnerability really resonated with me. I loved watching him break down his walls and confront his biases when his carefully structured world collapsed. His character development from uptight control-freak to someone who could admit "I just want him, broken or not. I want all his uneven pieces" showed genuine growth. The stepbrother dynamic created natural tension, but their relationship evolution felt rushed in places. While I appreciated the contrast between Kyran's disciplined nature and Avi's free-spirited approach to life, some aspects of their connection seemed stretched or hard to relate to. The financial crisis forcing these polar opposites to collaborate had potential, but the execution didn't always convince me. That said, the book maintains a light, playful tone throughout that makes it an entertaining read. The humor sprinkled between moments of personal transformation kept me turning pages, even when I wasn't fully invested in their romance. First of all, this story is way deeper than what I was expecting and I'm happy with it! Has great balance, the forbidden love, enemies to lovers, the intimacy was beautiful! I'm officially a fan, 100%. Hands down to Avi's mom, she is amazing, supportive, loving and deserves the best, wish she also had a well deserving love story, that heart is made for it. Both boys had luck with their friends group and I enjoyed that very much, seeing that there was a supportive circle during those difficult moments was key. From the beginning I was able to recognise some patterns in K's behaviour, I guess that's why I wasn't "too" mad at him when he exploded and lashed out to Avi... because he always went back to him, and the first time he said sorry? I was happy because I knew that was the start for him, opening up, speaking what he really feels. Avi's patience is blessed with iron strength y'all, he had such a hard time, I was right there with him on each desperate moment, he is a total giver, caring, sarcastic little batman! My heart was a mess when he already new his feelings but still kept them locked because he knew K needed more time to process everything, he never tried to rush things, aware that each person goes at their own time, even if he wanted and craved for more.

Raw. Intense. Emotional. SPICY!!!

18+ MM Romance ⚠️read the trigger warnings!!⚠️ I have no words. I cannot express what this book did to me, but I will try my best. I haven’t had a 5 star read in a while and this one knocked it out of the park. I have not felt this many emotions erupt from me all at once in a long time. This book was so incredibly beautiful. I went into it looking for some spicy time, but I came out (no pun intended) with a whole heart, bleeding incredible amounts of love, heartbreak, and joy. Avi is the artsy, stoner kid, and Kyran is your stereotypical, preppy quarterback who is just a straight-up a-hole who absolutely despises Avi. Avi's mom gets with Kyran's dad, making them step-brothers who couldn't hate each other more. They end up going to the same college, and Kyran is absolutely livid about it. When their parent's financial security goes down the drain, they both have to find a way to make money to stay in college. Avi's friend convinces him to start an OF (something she has also been doing to make ends meet). It begins as a solo account until Kyran, supposedly the straightest man on campus, desperately needs money to stay at school and pursue his goal of making the NFL, gets involved. But remember, it's for the fans, right? Kyran is a pretty stubborn guy, so he’s ignoring the undeniable chemistry between him and Avi for a good portion of the book. But even the fans can see it's more than just “videos.” It's raw, intense, emotional, and just downright steamy. I'd subscribe in a heartbeat. "Each time we're together, it gets deeper. More intense, more staggering, more... beautiful. More terrifying." Like I said before, the chemistry is absolutely magical, and the banter is delicious. I don't think I have ever read a book with chemistry like theirs. It's a slow-burning candle, realistic and scorching HOT. They couldn't be more opposite, but they fit together like perfect puzzle pieces. Both of their inner monologues are absolutely hilarious, and each chapter starts off with a username and comment that went under their OF account which are also absolutely HILARIOUS 😂 "Baby, you're ruining me...""Now you know how I feel." I understand how the length of this book might seem intimidating, but each page was necessary. The amount of background, spice, character development, and healing is beautifully written, and it wouldn't have been as incredible if it was any shorter. I actually wish it was longer. I don't want to let these characters go. Going from being at each other's throats 24/7 to being so incredibly inseparable is fantastic. "I'm like... stupidly in love with you." "Baby... I'm f—-ing moronically in love with you." I fell in love with both of them and am absolutely obsessed with their love story. I cannot recommend this book enough. It was such an intense emotional rollercoaster, full of banter, lots of laughs, and I loved every heckin second of it. I want to read it all over again.
