  • A Great Product Prototype but Unfortunately Not Up to the Task
I really wanted this item to work but unfortunately it is wholly unsuitable for the task it was designed to perform. The mount looks good, and the concept and design are rather ingenious: the 3U mount is really 3 plastic 1U blanks that are cut to fit different devices (a Mac Studio, in this case). The manufacturer has created a design system that can adapt to a wide variety of different devices to allow them to be rack mountable... Sort of... Unfortunately, in this case, the plastic blanks are nowhere near sturdy enough to support the weight of a Mac Studio and the entire mount flexes and bows severely when positioned on the rack (or even just picking it up). My rack is angled back at a rather steep angle, so the computer would hang nearly vertical which at least distributed the weight of the computer evenly and caused the rack faces to bow nearly evenly; I can't imagine how bad the flex would be under the torque caused by mounting on a vertical rack. In the end, the fear of discovering a Mac Studio lying on the floor after the plastic finally gives way outweighed how much I really wanted to like the product and it is going back to Amazon. ... show more

  • Works great, seller very helpful
It's a little finicky to assemble, but once together is pretty sturdy (just make sure you place the additional front plate reinforcements in the right spots). The seller also was great. I realized on their site you can custom order mounts and was going to return this and re-order from their site to allow mounting more than just the Mac Studio, but they reached out and offered to send a replacement front plate free of charge (and in the silver color at my request!). This saved me a ton of time. They're also very responsive on amazon. Would definitely buy from them again and am planning to make more custom mount purchases for other items I have. ... show more

  • its some sort of plastic material
seems cheaply made by a 3d printer of some sorts.

  • The cheap junk switch is the weakest link, and most important Don’t buy
I bought this on Etsy and the switch button broke off within a week. I notified seller and he asked for pictures rather than offer a solution I’m sure I’m not the first, so he knows the switch arm is a problem. It ships from Spain and takes forever to arrive. It seemed like a good idea, but do yourself a favor, save and buy a metal product. ... show more

  • Perfect Rack Mount if you have the Setup
I am a music/video guy and most of my work is done on the computer. I already had some extra rack space hanging out and found out this existed! Love that it exists and honestly, this could be paired with so many different setups that I love the concept of. If you travel a lot like me, this could definitely fit into your travel rackmount case. Now putting this together won't be too hard for you I presume but I didn't love the assembly. My directions must have gotten lost somewhere in the mail but I was able to manage. I do recommend this, pretty niche item but great for my studio design. ... show more
