I left the light on as a surprise after installing and when my wife got home she could see this beautiful light fixture through the windows of the house and she was really happy. It took some effort to install this ourselves because of the tall 15 foot vaulted ceiling. We had to rent a 12 foot A-frame ladder to safety install it. We ended up purchasing a 10 foot black chain and a 25' long 18 AWG lamp cable. For aesthetic reasons, instead of using bare copper ground wire, we tore 10 feet of lamp cable in half and used one strip as the ground cable, but the pipes of the fixture are a bit narrow and fitting all the cables was somewhat difficult. Including time to rent a ladder, it took 2 people about 4 hours total to install but it was worth it from my wife's reaction since she has migrated everything else in the space with black color highlights. I purchased 12 light bulbs that are dimmable LEDs so I plan to change to a dimmer switch. The room has never been so bright and is really nice. But, I think it is almost too bright and if you want candle light dinning experiences, a dimmer would be beneficial for that. The company was good to work with when we had questions -- we communicated with them successfully through Amazon. Recommended! ... show more

Rarely - if ever - write reviews. Product was easy to assemble, included quality parts for installation, easy to read instructions and clearly marked wires. Total time from box open to installed and on was about 90 minutes (first time light install too). Upon install the circle structure was hanging about 3 degrees off level, very noticeable, despite the vertical shaft hanging perfectly plumb. Emailed the manufacturer with the problem and pictures, they responded within 12 hours with two detailed potential repairs, both with pictures and arrows. Took 5 minutes to tighten a bolt in the bottom housing chamber, and bam! The fixture hangs level and looks gorgeous. Might seem an odd rating - 4 stars because it should have come properly constructed, but its 6 star customer service and easily a 5 star product had it come properly put together. Can confirm; Will elevate your room and make you feel two levels fancier than you actually are. ... show more

This chandelier changed the look of our dining room completely. It's not real shiny gold, but also not too brushed. It's very pretty. The six main arms that hold the lightbulbs were very tight and difficult to separate and straighten out. It felt like we were going to damage the piece by forcing them. If you are super handy, you will have no problem putting this together. But, it was a challenge for us and we had to call for help to get this installed. We also agree with another reviewer that it took a while to get the piece centered and straight. Once installed, it opened up our dining room and looks amazing.
