I do not like some of the top colors Pyrex is coming out with but understand that I can order replacements and donate. l don't like metal and I don't like covering containers that need to go in the fridge... I have other things to do. Depending of how rough you are or how long you have them, some of the tops will get a slit on the side, so just order another and enjoy easy freezer, thaw then microwave or oven. They are Pyrex. What more needs to be said? They are tempered glass so they will be good to use in place of my plastic BPA free LocknLock bowls that I threw out. I’m no longer using plastic for ANYTHING in my kitchen. I will use these for microwaving, and refrigerating leftovers. They are good sizes and the set is a good price. I did a lot of research to find exactly what I’d need to replace all my BPA free plastic stuff. This set seemed to be the best value. These containers work well and are attractive. They are easy to use and to wash (I hand wash as I don't have a dishwasher). I bought them January 2025 and they have held up well (it's now August 2026). I bought these because I no longer wanted to store food in plastic containers, because of my concern about BPA and other possible toxins in plastic. I thought that the Pyrex material of the containers would likely be safer for food storage. The lids of these containers are plastic, but the lids hardly ever get in contact with the food. I bought these because Pyrex is usually a reliable, high-quality brand, and I’ve been switching from plastic to more glass containers. The glass bowls themselves are great — sturdy, easy to clean, and they’ve held up well with daily use. The plastic lids have been good so far, and I’m hoping they won’t warp or crack with heavier use. I really appreciate the variety of sizes since I use them for everything — leftovers, veggies, sauces, and more. They also look nice enough to bring to potlucks or lunches without feeling like basic storage containers. The reason I’m giving 4 stars is because some of the lids don’t seal as tightly as I’d like. Wonderful purchase, the lid is easy to open, it doesn’t easily spill no matter where you put it. I use it to pack lunches everyday and it doesn’t open easily in my backpack. The sizes are very convenient since they come in many different sizes.
