We watched a few videos on YouTube about installing an awning simular to this. I didn't have the $$$$$ that the camper place wanted to replace my awning so got this and did it ourselves. We followed the directions in the videos, especially spray the tracks with food grade silicon and making sure of no sharp edges anywhere, and paying special attention with the tension spring to stay safe. Two people to install makes it much easier. It looks great. I don't know about durability yet. Really makes our camper look a lot newer.

I watched a few installation videos called some friends and installed this. It was all of our first times installing an awning. It was successful and the awning was great. No complaints about this product at all. I would recommend it and buy another if needed.

18.oz material is noticeably thicker than the stock awning. Wasn't hard to do. Definitely for DIYers first time. WATCH A VIDEO OF YOUR AWNING MODEL(ex. Dometic 9100 15' is my awning.) You will have to drill out rivets on the caps. And reinstall them after new awning. This wasn't hard.

This cover is nice heavy quality. Install definitely takes 2 people and a few tools. Be VERY CAUTIOUS undoing the end caps. They are under spring tension and about ripped my hand off. It took a us about 45 mins from start to finish. The bead that holds the cover in the slots comes very long. Make sure you cut 3-4 inches off before sliding it in. Overall, it is a straight forward install.

Easy to install (well, relatively), and material seems to meet the Carefree quality I had on my Arctic Fox trailer. My camper has the power Carefree awning, and this new awning slid right in without any issues. Can’t speak to longevity, but I’ll update this if I notice any abnormal wear.

Replaced a 12 year old awning on a Dometic system on my 5th wheel. The measurements were just right and it fit the groves perfectly on a tube that has the 3 grooves. Used it the next day and it rained hard that night and filled it with water and held up great, in fact didn't even know that there was a ton of water sitting up there when I went to stow it 2 days later. Very good product! I was even able to install it by myself using a couple saw horses to support the tube.

Shipped in perfect condition. Also pleasantly surprised that they shipped patch materials (hopefully never to be used). Pull cord was a bit dodgy stitching but one request from customer service and it was replaced. They also provided a URL for a particular U-Tube that I had found previously which was out of many, one that I considered best. Only things bad I could say was 1) I wish that they made blue (but the green is ok color) and 2) this IS a job for multiple people to install. Have a bunch of beers ready and invite the crew over to help. It is not for the slight of heart! GREAT value for the money.
