Okay, this product will go to the ends of the earth and pull out THE DEVIL himself. I recently purchased a townhouse and the shower drain starting clogging up almost immediately. I try to be environmentally conscious and also didn't want to damage the pipes - so I knew I didn't want to use a chemical/liquid. In came this product. I got it a day sooner than scheduled which was a plus and got right to work. Unfortunately, the snake didn't fit but I really only purchased this for the orange plastic pieces with the teethies anyway. This little orange strip pulled out SO much lint, hair, paint chips --- and heck knows what else. It was so bad that I had to use two of the strips, because there was no cleaning that mess off, and I sure as hell wasn't going to try. The hair catcher (the 24" piece with the red part) was also of great use and easy enough to clean and put away for future use.

I had a bad clog in my bathroom drain, so I decided to give this unclogger a try. Little did I know how clingy to hair these bristled ends were, which I quickly found out once I dropped it on my lap. It was at this point I realized I had forgot to put panties on this week, and it ended up getting wrapped up pretty good in the underworld. The only thing I could reach at this point was my recently deceased Aunt's toothbrush, which I had no choice but to use to try and pry it loose (sorry Aunt Bonnie). After about 30 minutes of ripping hair out and wincing from the pain, I had to submit and call the fire department. Luckily, my pastor works for the local VFD and was the first on the scene. He said this was not the first time he's seen something like this and knew exactly what to do. After he quickly walked outside, he came back about 10 minutes later with a couple of ice cubes and some extra crunchy peanut butter. I couldn't see exactly what he did, but after he whipped up some sort of paste, he massage it in pretty good and said it needs to sit for about 30 minutes. He had a deck of cards so we played a couple quick games of Gin Rummy, and before you knew it, 30 minutes had passed. Pastor Tim gave the unclogger a couple of shakes and it broke lose just like ribs falling off the bone. I had to throw away the unclogger because between the peanut butter, the hair, and the smell it was pretty much a lost cause. I never did get my sink unclogged, but I did learn a valuable lesson....make sure you wear panties if you're going to operate sink unclogging equipment! Good luck everyone.

This kit provides different augurs allow for snaking different sinks and drains. Today, I tried one of the augurs and it didn't quite work well for removing hair in a bathroom drain. But, then I tried the another augur, one like a giant pipe cleaner and it worked really well ! I simply rotated the "pipe cleaner" many times, and each rotation gathered more hair. Success!

On the first pull, it took a bit of turning to get one of the teeth on the orange one to grab the blockage, but when it did it held on strong. The following attempts pulled more and more hair from the drain. I ended up with a dense matted hairball the size of my fist. Less than 10 minutes (including opening the package) and my tub, previously calf high water drains quickly. Some of the teeth became crooked and bent but none broke off and I fully expected to lose a few. That's some hardy plastic and I'll have it again for the future. I only used one of the orange ones and I'll be able to use the same one for future clogs. Well worth the money.

This complete set of drain cleaning tools has been an absolute lifesaver. I had a few slow running drains in a house that was only five years old. Plumbers are expensive. I also had a musty smell coming from my overflows drains on my bathroom sink. I thought I would give this a try before calling the plumber. I won’t gross you out with the disgusting stuff that I pulled out of my drain very easily. I found that the toggle that operated my drain in my bathroom sink was about to break through and was completely clogged with rusty guck. I used the long brush to thoroughly clean the drain after I pulled out the gunk. I also use the long brush to clean the overflow drains in the sink. The gripper also came in handy to pull out the gunk. My one piece of advice is to have a lot of rags around because this is a messy job I also had a disinfectant cleaner that I sprayed on everything and I wore gloves. I also had a bucket that I threw the parts for my husband scrub clean. In one afternoon we cleared two sink drains, a shower drain and a tub drain. I purchase thousands of things on Amazon and this is hands-down the best purchase I have ever purchased. No complaints. Buy one.

This unclogged my tub drain which just had some hair that had gotten lodged in beyond my fingers reach. The orange plastic one- others were right it is fragile- I snaked it easily down just to see how it would do- no pressure or nothing - when I pulled it back out one of the little tabs had come off- that was enough for me to decide not to chance it. The claw: While it snaked down easily- it didn't grab anything for me. The snake with handle: it was hard to get down my tub drain at the top of my drain there is a cross bar and it took some maneuvering to get it past it because the device was a little larger in circumference. But once down it is the one that got the hair out. The Brush: Others were right- the little brushes will come off- let me explain how it is designed- the core part is several pieces of metal twisted around each other-- the brush fibers are held together only by being in between the pieces of metal-- so if you bend the brush (like down a drain) the metal will separate just enough that the fibers come off. I ended up using it to get lint out of deeper in my lint trap and that when I noticed the behavior. Some reviews seemed upset that the devices rusted over time- I made certain to properly clean and dry my devices before putting them away- so we will see what they do - but in honesty - at $10 it was meant to just save me the $175 plumber bill- which it did- so if it is single use ... I am fine with that. Only gave it 3 stars because while it is affordable and did do the job- only one out of the 4 devices really worked- and the others had potential for causing more harm.
