Why I say mostly sturdy is because my flue when I rest it on the stand thingy it is very wobbly but it does stay there and doesn't fall off. But other than that this is really awesome

Saxophone players: I would advise against using this for a saxophone. the horn is heavier than the overall stability of this, and could easily tip over. It felt stable when i used it for my flute, great, but I would not take this to a gig for a soprano. I am worried about it and I have my soprano on it in my kitchen with no one around. This is my opinion, but I wouldn't do it. also, the soprano peg attachment is a styrofoam cover for the flute attachment, the cover itself does NOT fit snugly on the flute peg, and it is NOT large enough for my soprano, which is jumbling around on it. Do not buy this stand for your soprano sax. It is way too flimsy, and if you have a nice saxophone, the risk of this thing tipping over and destroying your horn is way too high. Do not buy.
