  • LIGHTWEIGHT PROTECTION ON WHEELS FOR BARI SAX
Style: Gig Bag
I BOUGHT THIS CASE FOR MY HUSBAND AND HE LOVES THAT THIS PROTEC CASE ISN'T BULKY, IS LIGHTWEIGHT, HAS WHEELS AND HAS A NICE STORAGE POCKET ON THE SIDE. ALL OF HIS OTHER SAXOPHONES HAVE PROTEC CASES. I WAS SO THANKFUL TO FIND THIS ONE FOR HIS BARI SAX THAT HAS WHEELS! HIS OLD HARD CASE WAS HEAVY AND BULKY AND VERY HARD TO HANDLE. A FRIEND HAS A DIFFERENT SOFT CASE BUT THAT ONE IS BULKY WITH MANY OUTSIDE POCKETS THAT ARE ODD SIZES AND DON'T HOLD ANYTHING USEFUL. THIS CASE IS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! WE PLAN ON BUYING ONE JUST LIKE IT FOR A DEAR FRIEND FOR CHRISTMANS THIS YEAR. THANK YOU FOR AN EXCELLENT PRODUCT. WE WILL ALWAYS BUY PROTEC! ... show more

  • Fits snuggly around my bari sax
Style: Gig Bag
This case is great! It fits well and has a huge side pocket for my mouthpiece and accessories. Now I will see how durable it is when using it for gigs.

  • Bell is unprotected
Style: Gig Bag
Bell isn’t protected - there isn’t enough padding or space to use the block pads to protect the bell. I even tried removing ALL the back padding and I still wasn’t comfortable with the bell being back far enough to use the supplied pad blocks (small or larger).

  • This case was a lifesaver
Style: Gig Bag
My son has private lessons once a week with his baritone sax. The original hard case the school provided him with was like four times as heavy as the sax itself. Carrying that thing up and down the stairs from his room and at the studio for lessons made me wish he had taken up collecting boulders instead because it felt like they would be much easier to carry. This case has turned that chore in to practically no work at all. I have seen others say that using a soft case gives you a better chance of damaging the instrument. Obviously that has to be the case but we have had no issues so far and I have had no concerns of dropping it because it is light as a feather compared to the hard case. I would definitely recommend this case and just be extra cautious with it. ... show more

  • It has wheels!
Style: Gig Bag
It’s wonderful! I am an over-sixty female. My new Yamaha with its wooden case was just getting too heavy for me to carry any long distance. This is much lighter and the best thing of all- it has wheels! I love playing my bari!

  • Good gig bag (Now an okay bag with little outside protection)
Style: Gig Bag
It's not hard cased, but it's still a decent case. Has wheels and you can carry it as a backpack as well. More easy for transportation instead of having to carry it. ****Update****: I had found out recently that though this case has a lot of padding protection in the inside, it's not a case well for outside protection. It can cause ur horn to get damaged if it falls over, has bumps during a rough car ride, and is easily damage if not careful. If your looking for a case for great protection from damage for your horn, this isn't the case you should buy. ... show more

  • Great purchase
Style: Gig Bag
So much easier to carry around the beast of an instrument in this lightweight case. Plenty of padding. Wheels work quite well also.

  • Perfect for local travel
Style: Gig Bag
I haul my sax back and forth across the city a couple days a week, and am really loving this case for its reduced weight (relative to the factory case) and range of carrying options. Being able to stick my case on my back and walk to the bus stop or train station is a total game-changer. The side pocket is also just big enough to fit a folding stand. The movable velcro-backed interior pads were pretty easy to configure to give my bari (low-A Yani) a secure fit. The case itself is solid enough that I am not worried about getting jostled a little when I'm out and about. No, you probably don't want to check it for air travel, but I'm never going to fly with my saxophone so for me this is not an issue. Two things that would take this from really good to perfect: a waist belt accessory that clips onto the bottom d-rings of the shoulder straps (to distribute some weight off the shoulders), and a side pocket large enough to fit a folder of music (so that you can be totally hands-free in backpack mode). I like the case well enough that I may try to fashion at least the waist belt myself though. ... show more
