We have purchased four of these over the past two years. They get used every single day and put on about five to six miles a day. They are used in our school building by staff as it is a large 170000 square foot building. Runs great on carpeting and tile floor. We have never had to replace the batteries either. I am a pretty big person. 250 lbs and 6',6". I can still run around with this scooter and have no problems with them. We ordered one with the larger chair.     • May not be suitable for some seniors (take caution)

This scooter has plenty of power but may not be suitable for everyone. First, it does not have an auto-stop and so if the rider is not capable of a quick reaction to stop, it will keep rolling and may create a dangerous situation. Secondly, it may not be easy for a senior to start moving safely using the twist handle even at level one as it speeds up quickly. Folding can be challenging for some seniors as you have to remove the seat first before folding (for the larger seat option). If you ever need the power adapter replacement, it will cost over $60. This is a fun scooter but I would not buy this for a senior. You should Google general comments about seniors using scooters and dangers associated with them before deciding to buy any scooter even if they ask for one. ... show more

I've only had it for a couple of days but I put it through its paces using it to get on the Metro North commuter train into New York City and back again and it worked perfectly. it navigated the twists and turns of the ramps to get onto the train platforms, and had enough power to go uphill when necessary. it is very easy to fold and unfold. my only comments are that the seat comes off easily when it's folded up so it's easier to carry that separately. it's also not light but that's to be expected from a quality piece of metal with a good battery. overall I give it 4.5 Stars. ... show more

I bought this S5(Ephesus,MS3000) with bigger seat ,optional bigger battery(36V 15.6 Ah), Optional rear basket March 2, 2012. The default of driving range up to 25 miles was not correct. The range up to 25 miles with optional battery. I prefer to the detachable battery from the unit in order carry to away for recharge if needed. The ground clearance is 3.75 inch. Manual or video is not perfect to understand the take bigger seat on & off the unit. Jesse sent me a video to understand the bigger seat on and off. The price is very good. ... show more

I BOUGHT THE SCOOTER WITH THE SMALLER SEAT,I WASN'T HAPPY WITH THE SEAT. After reaching customer service they offered to send me the scooter with the larger seat no charge sent me a label for pickup of the scooter rides beautifully well worth the money excellent product . Thank You

It easily fit in our RV storage box. But it takes a few minutes to assemble correctly. The light mounting plastic brackets are too cheap. The plastic wheel guards scuff easily- need a touch up kit. Needs a better fixed basket. Solid terrain is highly recommended. But it is simple to operate & excellent. Highly recommend it for trips when walking is too hot or distant.
