To use this as a kneeling bench it simply flips over, no levers required. The seat is a dense padded foam so there is some cushion but you can always add a little extra cushion if desired. Opening and closing the legs is simple with the squeeze of a tension release bar under each leg. I like that this sits low enough I can attend to tasks lower to the ground where regular chairs are just a bit too tall. The kneeling side is also great for use while cleaning. This is a really good seat/kneeler. It's very solid and I felt very safe sitting on it. It really saved my back while potting my pepper plants! It comes with these funny gloves with one hand like a claw. I've never seen those befoe but they are my go to gloves now while planting and moving dirt. the claw feature really makes a huge difference! I love it.
