  • Built for larger camera
Pro quality well built. Designed for a full size camera, not my planned use with a phone and GoPro. Adjusted the weights and got it to work fine now. The arm brace seem overly complex to set up, it was like a puzzle. Had to use FlyCam's video to figure out. I do recommend this device.

  • Works perfectly!
I tried the steadicam Jr. and the Merlin 2, and they were impossible to balance. This guy is pretty easy, once you get the hang of it. I do recommend watching some how to YouTube videos. You may have to move the mounting plate left or right, or front or back, depending on how much the camera leans and in what direction. The directions, and most YouTube videos, suggest a "drop test" of around 2 seconds. This is absolutely true. I had my camera balance pretty well, but never tested the drop and I could not use the stabilizer very well. Once I got the drop test to around 2 seconds (slightly over 2 seconds) and then balanced the camera, the unit was much easier to use. I use the stabilizer with a vest and arms (highly recommend). Know that it will take practice to get good at using the stabilizer. I have been practicing now for approximately 5 weeks, and I just now feel like I've gotten it down pretty well, but I still have some room for improvement. All that being said, I truly believe it is totally worth it! ... show more
