The look of this vest is perfect and the functionality is everything you could want for a fly fishing vest. Tons of pockets, clips, and tie off points. It fits my 270 pound, 6 foot frame with adjustment left to spare. I would say it could be adequate up to a 3xl mens. I like the floatation option for deep water wading as it gives some security to the potentially of being swept down river by fast water. The only downfall is that it is not USCG approved and therefore is not legal for boating use as a pfd in my home state. I was hoping to find a fishing life vest that would fit like skin. It was obvious that flotation material adds bulk, so I settled for the vest that seemed to have the smallest and lightest buckles for adjustments. This vest works, plenty of pockets so no need to keep changing between lures, flies, food, water etc while fishing the river by my home. Being 68 my balance is not what it was even 10 years ago, so hopefully this does the job if I get unlucky. ... show more

I sent back a $70 vest because it was so poorly designed. This vest had only 3 reviews but the design looked very good so I took a chance on it. This is the best designed and manufactured fishing vest I have ever seen! All belts and buckles adjust easily and are very sturdy. The zippers are oversize and strong plus the main front zipper was made with wide straps on each side so there is plenty of room for old, stiff fingers to easily zip up this vest. It's a good vest for the purposes I use it for. Float tube fyshing. pockets are multiple and few are extremely deep for stacking my small fly boxes and other accessories. I actually own 3 of these in multiple colors. other thing I like is that u can remove the foam in the back. more comfortable and I still have the foam in the front. Does it float a person? Yes.
