I should have listened to the reviews a little more. I usually take negative comments with a grain of salt because people can be dramatic, but in this case, they were pretty accurate. First, this is not a high-end piece of furniture, so don’t expect that. It’s not crappy by any means, but for the price, I probably could have bought something preassembled and done a DIY myself. That said, for my current space and storage needs, it does work functionally. My biggest complaint is the assembly. It took me an embarrassingly long time (around six hours), and I’m still not completely finished because the cabinet doors are not lining up correctly. I had to step away and come back to it later. The instructions were very hard to follow — there is no wording at all, just pictures, and the layout was confusing. I kept accidentally installing pieces backwards and then having to undo a lot of work, which was extremely frustrating. I’m also not a huge fan of the hardware used to secure everything. Once assembled, it still doesn’t feel as sturdy as I’d like, so I will definitely be anchoring it to the wall. The backing of the cabinet and the bottoms of the drawers are very thin and flimsy, and a couple corners were already chipped. The box itself arrived completely ripped open, so returning it would have been difficult anyway. Another thing to note: the lights. In the photos, they look warm, but they are actually a very bright white/blue light, which I don’t love. Just something to be aware of. On the positive side, the fluted drawer fronts look really nice and feel heavier and more solid than the rest of the piece. Once everything is lined up correctly, it does look good and serves its purpose — I’m just struggling with the pre-drilled holes not lining up perfectly. Overall, I’m giving this 4 stars because it works for my space and looks nice from the front, but the assembly process, instructions, and material quality in certain areas definitely need improvement. ... show more

The box is ships in is huge and heavy. Building this is doable alone, but easier with another person. The wood is sturdy and the cabinets are gorgeous. It took me about 4 hours to build by myself, and the instructions were easy to follow. My only critique is that the cabinet doors don’t close well, and there is some gaping on the top doors. I’ve tried everything to fix the gap but I can’t work it out. Great storage, and love the different cabinets ... show more

Would not buy again. It's a beautiful cabinet, but it did not fully go together. We had help, multiple people putting it together. We all read the same instructions and watched videos and there are holes that don't line up with hinges so doors aren't closing right and things are misaligned. Would not recommend. ... show more

The item is great. It arrived with no damages and I truly felt like I got a great deal for my money. Assembling it by myself was kind of tough so I’d recommend someone help you. The box was HEAVY and the actual item once assembled feels very sturdy. The instructions to assemble it weren’t the best. They have a video if you scroll on the pictures up here, but the video doesn’t match the pieces and the part names so it’s confusing. Overall it looks good, you should get it. ... show more
