The mounting plate that's part of the light, (twist to remove it), lines up perfectly with standard electrical wall boxes. The wires come out of the center of the light so all the wiring is inside the box, just like it should be.

    • I want to like it. But i don't.
The bad: Unlike other LED lamps I own, this is NOT dimmable, which I am disappointed by. In order to dim, you need to use the included shitty remote. I already have dimmer switches, which DO NOT WORK despite the misleading title "dimmable". This thing is not dimmable in the way you want. It is much too bright in the "night time" setting. The wires in the fixture are routed such that you need to tape everything down after installation, or you'll have shadows from the wires. The remote and fixture are incredibly cheap. I'd not mind if this was 49.99, but at over 100 dollars, I'm not really impressed. The plastic lens is loosely head in place by gravity. Also super cheap. The good: The amount of daytime light and changeable color are nice features. It is large. After a few weeks, I mostly hate this light. I wish it was just higher quality, actually dimmable using my light switch, and didn't have the weird switch activated color/brightness "feature". Half the time it turns on and it isn't the color/brightness I want. Basically this thing totally sucks. Don't buy. Update: Seller reached out and asked me to remove my bad review for 15$. I said ' Send me a light that is actually dimmable without that awful cheap remote'. Since they have no intention of making the product suck less my review stays up. ... show more

I expected this light to be a bit brighter, but it is certainly a lot brighter than the old 2-bulb fixture was. Installation was easy too. As a 65-year-old granny, I appreciated that I was able to install it on my own. Now all areas of my kitchen are visible, whereas with the old light the “edges” and “corners” of the room were dim. Not thrilled with how it operates. It is inconsistent with the response to the remote and has three settings when using the switch. My biggest issue is that when it is not on, the white cover appears pink, I'm assuming as a result of the LED strip. I'm probably going to replace it sooner rather than later. ... show more

A bit larger than I expected. Guess my measurements were off, but decided to keep them. I bought two for my kitchen. I have a manufactured home. The original lighting had cheap plastic shades and hung down about 8in or more. These are only 2in and I really like the more modern 'look'.
