  • Wonderful tool!
Size: With Eversharp 110 & 66 Blade
If you have ever used a punch down tool that is not spring loaded, you will appreciate my excitement with this tool. The impact tool is SO worth it if you will be punching down more than 2 wires! Any professional uses an impact tool. The tool is just SO MUCH easier to use, and I appreciate easier! This is an excellent professional punch down tool, that is the choice of professionals. I couldn't give away my non impact 66 and 110 punch tool after I bought this. Nobody wants to use those tools these days. Fluke always makes the best, and the EverSharp blades are amazingly durable. This is one great tool! ... show more

  • Fluke's Quality Does Not Shine Here
Size: With Eversharp 66/110 Cut Blade
I was initially very excited to be purchasing a Fluke punch down for such a great price, as it was even cheaper than the Paladin SurePunch my boss uses! Well... you get what you pay for. As soon as I was taking it out of the packaging, I knew right away this was a cheaply made product. It is absolutely not the quality I would expect from a Fluke product. Everything felt cheap about it, and the blade removal switch was always rattling even when I barely touched the tool. I immediately put it back in the packaging, filed a return, and I bought a Paladin 3588 SurePunch Pro. I know for a fact that these are of great quality and will last forever. Like I said. I bought the Fluke expecting the same thing, and I only got it because it was cheaper and the quality of a Fluke is known to be great. Not so much with this tool. If you can muster up the extra $15 to get the Paladin, I would highly recommend doing so instead of purchasing this Fluke D914S. ... show more

  • FANTASTIC tool set
Size: Kit with Cable Snips, Strippers & Pouch
FANTASTIC tool set! A lot of my telecom tools were really starting to show their age, so I figured I would treat myself to an update. The stripper is one of the best strippers I've used on data cable. The fit is great and they're fully adjustable to work with any jacket on any cable you might be working with. I have a minor complaint, but that isn't a fault of the tool per-se, as much as the total kit (which I will address below). The electricians scissors are also great. Great handles, great weight and balance. I got used to these very, very quickly. Punchdown tool is fine. Nothing special, though the spudger is nice to pick wires out of 66 and 110 blocks. The blade is an "Eversharp", we'll see how sharp it stays for how long. After a thousand punches, it still works like it did when it was new (which honestly, I expect) Flashlight is a inexpensive run of the mill LED light. Nothing special, but it's nice to have handy. The included permanent marker is a Sharpie branded marker. It's fine, though I would like to see them include Milwaukee Inkzall. I have two minor complaints, which is why I have it 4 stars and not 5. First, the case appears to be a TPU material and as such, has some flex to it. I would much prefer it to be a rigid plastic. It can be a pain in the rear to get the impact tool out of the case. Second, because of the design of the case, it rotates the thumbwheel on the stripper every time you remove it or insert it into the holster. That thumbwheel is what sets the scoring depth on the cable. So every now and then you may find that it isn't scoring the cable properly, either not cutting deep enough or cutting to deep. Cutting to deep isn't much of an issue as you should be using the pull string down a few inches anyhow, but annoying none the less. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this set to anyone in the telecom / data trades. ... show more

  • Great punchdown tool, poor blade performance
Size: With Eversharp 110 & 66 Blade
I hae recently purchased this tool and punched down reliably over 1,000 times without the punchdown tool slipping or breaking, the eversharp blade does not reliable cut cat 6e wires in jacks or on patch panels. The fact that it doesn't work well cutting in patch panels is a real issue since multiple strikes with a punchdown tool on light is still not recommended and the eversharp blades rarely cuts on the first punch. Great tool, but purchased replacement blades from someone else. ... show more

  • The best you'll ever buy and all you'll ever need
Size: With Eversharp 66/110 and Screwdriver Blade
I've had this model of punch down since I went to PBX school in Texas back in 2009. I've had the same one from school and used it every where I went since 2019. My old Fluke punch down took a crap on me after I loaned it to another person. I needed a new one anyways. Fluke says it's good up to a million punches, I would say that it it accurate. I've used a lot of kinds if punch downs but this is the best i have ever used. Smooth, sufficiently impacts at low settings without rework, and lasts nearly forever. The blade I have on mine is terrible, so that is the only down side. ... show more

  • Great Tool
Size: With Eversharp 66/110 Cut Blade
Works well, reputable company. When deciding to purchase this, I saw a couple of reviews that complained about the cutting capability of the tool. I don't believe this is an inherent issue with the tool... rather an issue with technique. At the very end of a punch, angle it ever so slightly towards the blade. Works perfectly every time. ... show more

  • A Good Punchdown Tool
Size: With Eversharp 66/110 and Screwdriver Blade
This punch down tool cuts upon impact, the impact actually works, and it performs just as good as it did the first time. This tool also has attachments for the 66 block and screwdriver g, a hook that can be used to remove wires in hard-to-reach places. The price is hefty, but it is worth it. Cheaper ones just dont cut it (pun intended). ... show more

  • Great product
Size: With Eversharp 66/110 and Screwdriver Blade
It’s a little pricey but you get what you pay for, used a tool like this in the fire service for many years. Does a great job and the eversharp blades are the only ones to get. So if you decide to get a different tool, just make sure you get the eversharp blades. That’s really the important part anyway. ... show more
