If you are working some DIY electrical work and you have your faithful spouse lending you a hand, this can save your life! It is a painful process to try and push electric wiring through blind walls/insulation etc. Having this fish line makes it so much easier as it is very strong yet has a smidge of bend to allow it to go over/under/around obstacles until it reaches your destination. Fasten the wire on the end and slowly pull back through and you are finished. If you have ever worked DIY jobs with your loving mate and things don't go your way, clock keeps ticking, sweat starts to build up and still no finish line.....things get dicey real quick especially with running wire. This is a cheap time-saver for sure. Good stuff!

I am an old telecom electrical contractor. I have lots of old fish steels, and most of them broke into maybe 1' pieces in their case; I don't know why. I never bought cheap tools. Most of them broke into pieces in around 10 years of dry storage. I gave this tape 4 stars because it is not steel, and I never liked steel fish tapes. Decades ago I shoved a steel tape into a conduit, and a coworker stopped me because we didn't know where the other end was. It turned out to be in a High Voltage substation. I think this tape is worth a second look.

I bought this to fish wire through my walls. The product is so flexible that it's almost impossible to use it for this purpose. It would be used better as a leash for a dog in the backyard, but for fishing wire through a wall it doesn't work very well.

Completely works as intended. Great value for the price, considering other brands available. Used it to fish RODI water hoses through my house and can't complain. The only issue I had was my own fault: if you think you might need the longer version GET IT. I have a plywood deck in my attic that I didn't think would be an issue (it didn't end up being a problem, but I cut it very close) Also stores VERY easy.
