It is pretty soft it's great for my son's room I like it cuz it's still soft and comfortable for him to lay down on the floor with and play with his toys my 2-year-old son is usually in there playing with him too this is after I washed it by the way it held up very well I put it on a delicate cycle on cold water I did not dry it it did have a little bit of a smell but not too bad I would buy again! The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is I feel it's not as wide but still works out great! ... show more

I bought the rainbow rug for my daughter's birthday to make her a little play area. It comes vacuum packed and when you first open it, it has a very strong smell so I recommend opening outside or washing it first since it takes a while to air out. Besides that it was the exact size it said and fit perfectly for where I needed it. The colors are very beautiful! It's easy to vacuum out any dirt or debris use a hose attachment since the long fibers will get stuck in the regular vacuum easily. I washed it once already and it held its shape and everything. I expected the fibers to get matted down easily but I've been super surprised by this rug they haven't got matted yet and it's used constantly. Ordered this to replace a rug in my school office that I loved. The other rug was no longer available but this was recommended as a substitute. It doesn't feel like it has any padding in it, and smaller than expected. The fluff is very soft to the touch which the students love.
