The media could not be loaded. It arrived rolled up and sealed in very thick, clear plastic. It almost immediately laid flat, I just had to roll one end the opposite way it had been rolled during shipping. It had a slight scent, so I filled a bucket with warm water, added laundry detergent, then dumped it on the rug and washed the rug, literally by hand. We rinsed it out with the garden hose, then hung it to air dry. Which made it even fluffier! The backing is flat and hard, there's no cushion. You'll need to buy padding for that. It is such a gorgeous rug. Nicely made, heavy duty, grips pretty good without a no slip mat under it. I purchased two for our camper, the 4'3" x 5'7" and this one, which is 2'7"x5'. I'm still anxiously waiting on the larger one to arrive. ... show more

Fast shipping. Loved that it came days earlier than expected. I think this rug would be amazing in any room other than a nursery. It's true to color and looks great, but feels terrible. I purchased the 6x9 for my 6 months old room. She is learning to walk and is on the floor a lot to play. I was unsure about this rug from reading reviews so I held off ordering it and went to a local brand name store and bought one. The rug I bought locally is thick, soft, plush and very cushioned. It was about $50 more. My LO loved rubbing her feet on it. Lol Unfortunately it doesn't look as good as this rug in her room and doesn't fit as well. This rug is shag but there's nothing else to it. It does have this plastic, synthetic, slick, cheap like feel to it, while feeling rough at the same time. It's thinner than I'd like even with an 1/4in rug pad under it. Had it down for four days now and I'm hoping it gets softer. The chemical smell was slightly less than the other rug (or maybe I've gotten nose blind) and is almost gone. Vacuumed it right out of the package and fell in love with the look just not the feel of it. Will be keeping it because it looks good, maybe with an extra rug pad or two under it. ... show more

I had my eye on this rug for about a year. I finally purchased it for my baby's nursery and it's so perfect. It makes the room look lovely. The rug doesn't look cheap. I was worried about vacuuming, but our Shark vacuum goes over it just fine. I did price comparing after seeing this rug listed by a few different retailers and Amazon has had the best price on it by far every time. The ends curled up after it was first unrolled, but it laid flat on its own within a week. It's thick and comfy and perfect for floor play time. It makes the room look more high end! ... show more

It is very nice new, but doesn't look good for long. It retains dirt, can only be spot cleaned, and regardless of how much vacuuming, doesn't pop back up and look full. I don't recommend it, especially if you have pets.
