I purchased this because I needed a vapor barrier and underlayment for our new engineered hardwoods. I also wanted something that would help keep sound down. I am so glad I chose Eco Cork Foam! I have 3 small/medium dogs and the claw noise drives me crazy. I let them walk across the flooring directly on the concrete, then after we installed with Eco Cork. HUGE difference! Is it completely quiet?-No, but I did not expect that. I just did't want that loud hollow sound. Also, it was very easy to lay down!

From what I've read in many places, cork is excellent as a floor underlayment, so I was excited to be able to order this. It came in a big roll (just like a carpet) but it is fairly lightweight so I was able to handle it without any issues. I am using this in my TV room, where I am tearing out the old, really yucky carpet and installing engineered wood (hickory) flooring. I was going to just use plastic sheeting as it's very inexpensive, but cork is supposed to be much better as a sound absorber and I could use that in this room. It's also supposed to be good in terms of comfort, and on top of a concrete subfloor, that will be a good thing too; it feels soft and kind of spongey, which gives me hope of a comfortable floor! See my photos, please. One is the roll that I got; one has the instructions in case you'd like to see them before buying; and one shows the cork going down on my floor (and a piece of the hickory flooring that I will be using). It appears to be straightforward in terms of installation; I am not very handy at all but I think I can do it myself with few issues. Overall a good value for a big roll if you want to use something better than plastic as your underlayment. I am going to buy another roll to finish the TV room and then do a big walk-in closet too. I will try to remember to update this with more photos after I install the flooring!

Well this looks and feels great! I have used cork and foam underlayments quite a bit- I really like this- it more tightly pressed foam with cork it it but still has the give that I like. Good thickness, lightweight. The last cork I used was really nice but could be touchy when cutting like a chunk could break off the corner at the worst time or even get caught up on razor blade. This is different not prone to that sort of break or crumble as its more like foam but also - It feels more resiliant , its very smooth, slick even and it cuts nice but doesnt tear like the thin blue rolled foam. I definitely feel i am having an improved install experience! That said I am In the middle of this project so I will update and get pics - was just so excited to use this and finish when it arrived- that doesnt happen everyday something is so cool feeling it derails my other goings on=so yeah I like it alot! It was great inspiration to finsh my loft area!

I ordered this cork composite underlayment to use with engineered wood flooring I purchased for use in all bedrooms and the large hallway area in my house. I am applying the hardwood as a floating floor, and I had already purchased an underlayment made of fiber that looks like thick wool, which should be fine in bedrooms where the floor is less trafficked due to furniture and limited daily use. However, I am concerned about wear and noise in the hallway and had read that cork was the best option for an underlayment to mitigate these issues. We've had floating floors before and it's important to find an underlayment that avoids that annoying "slap, slap" sound that is the result of poorly chosen or cheap underlayment. This underlayment looks to be good quality, the feel of cork underneath your feet can't be beat for comfort, and and the installation could not be easier with self-adhesive strips included. I like that there is a vapor barrier built in and this is a reasonably priced product. I need at least 4 times the amount included in this roll (100sf) for the long L-shaped hallway so I will be ordering more.

This product works well for its intended purpose as flooring underlayment — it unrolls easily, has a built-in vapor barrier, and provides a nice cushioned layer under vinyl or hardwood flooring. The included tape probably makes installation straightforward, although it's just one thin seam of adhesive and not super strong, but seems like the underlayment would be durable once in place. However, it’s a cork + foam composite, not solid cork. The texture and feel are very different from natural cork sheets, so if you’re planning to use it for DIY projects like rugs, coasters, or craft pieces, it may not meet expectations. I’d also prefer a little more transparency about the specific materials in the foam component, especially since the product description calls it “eco-friendly” but doesn’t specify what type of foam or adhesives are used. Overall, it’s a good, practical option for flooring insulation, but for surface projects or anything with direct contact, I’d choose natural cork instead.

I’ve used a similar product in the past and honestly, this type of underlayment is my favorite. It's very easy to install since the weight of the product prevents it from moving around a lot. It's extremely durable and doesn't really rip like other types I have used. I do wish they came in longer rolls to avoid some seems, but the size is good for most situations. It does a great job at reducing the sound transfer between floors and adds a softer feel when used on concrete. It’s much better than the buy in bulk thin underlayment even though the cost is higher, it’s definitely worth it in my opinion. The made in the USA is a big plus. The reality though is that you can get it locally for a lot less and that would be my advice if you want to buy it.

Very nice eco-friendly option for my flooring layering. This cork foam is incredibly light but durable and well-made. It is built to go underneath the main flooring and it will be doing so in a small art studio I have built out back. I like how easy it is to install and it is a good value for such a sustainable material. The size is fine and you can cut to shape.
