When the box arrived I took one look at it & said: this can't be good. The box was rather small for what I perceived was to be a floor lamp. Now, after putting it together I admit I had jumped to the wrong conclusion. I very impressed with the well thought out design & how easy it was to put together. There was no clitch in any part of the process as well as no irregular parts, as you some times get. An added surprise was the on/off switch you could lay on the floor & simply use your foot. I like that! They added a design look with a deer racked topper you screwed on the top. All in all it took me five to eight minutes to put it together & put in in it's location. So I like the size and sturdiness of the lamp. The color of the shade is nice and natural. Be aware that the shade is basically a strip of fabric that wraps around a frame and connects via a velcro strip, which you will want to adjust to the rear so you don't see it. I like that it has the option of 3 different light values, but one is very blue and I'll never choose that value. Bonus that it comes with the light bulb. Pretty easy to put together though the threads on the tubes can be a bit challenging to align when screwing them together. There are 2 things I wish were different. 1) the ugly deer or moose finnial. It looks like a cartoon character which cheapens the look of the lamp IMHO. 2) the foot control to turn it on is closer to the plug than to the lamp. I wish it was closer to the lamp so you could run the cord behind furniture to plug it in and still reach the switch easily. It would be even better if it had a switch on the lamp itself. But the height is perfect as a reading lamp for next to my chair and the shade pivots to help direct the light diagonally which is a nice feature. So definitely a good value overall. ... show more

Everything about this floor lamp is fine. It arrived in a relatively small box and was easy to put together. You just screw all of the parts to each other and screw the base to the bottom. The lamp shade is a strip of fabric/plastic that clips on to two circular frames (one on top and bottom) and then closes with a velcro strip. Easy to put together but not the prettiest. If you want to upgrade the shade, it's simple enough to switch them out. The step switch and tilt-able lampshade hinge are convenient. It's a little over 5 feet tall and can really only be used as a spot lamp. If you need more light for a room, this wouldn't work as the sole source of light but more of a reading or desk lamp. Overall, I think this would a good addition to a home that is looking for a cheap floor lamp that looks cute. But it's not a great quality piece so maybe invest more if that's what you're looking for. ... show more

I have a basement apartment that is a little bit on the dark side due to lack of windows. I have some overhead lights in there, but I much prefer lamps. This will be a nice option for my future renters!

This is a nice floor lamp and was pretty easy to put together. It gives off a good amount of light. I do think for this simple lamp that $50 is a bit steep and the current sale price of $30 is more the correct price.

This lamp has been such a great addition to my room where my desk is. Being able to turn it off and on with a pedal and having the option between a cool light and a warm light has been very nice. It was also a very straight forward and quick assembly.

I noticed this lamp has been reduced in price by almost half, which is appropriate. It is a serviceable lamp but nothing special. It arrives unassembled in a box that is about 12" x 12", which gives you an idea how skinny and small the parts are. The assembly is relatively easy, which is a good thing since the instructions are useless. The three different tones for the included LED bulb are very similar. The shade is a roll of fabric that is snapped onto two plastic rings and closed with Velcro, which means there is a thick, unattractive seam on the shade (this can be disguised by rotating the shade so the seam is toward the back). The on/off switch is on the cord and meant to be used by stepping on it, which means the cord has to be out where it's easily visible all the time. The lamp does seem to work well, so if the style suits your style, it's probably an okay buy. ... show more

I would definitely recommend this floor lamp for quality and style. It arrived flat in a box and takes only about 5-10 minutes to assemble (no tools required) even though they provide a tightening screw in the box. It's sturdy metal, solid with a nice hanging lamp shade (lightbulb included to have it work right away - NICE!) It looks super modern and would fit into any decor. I got the neutral lamp shade and the small moose on top which you don't really even notice but is so fun when you do notice lol. ... show more
