This came in a small box but was packaged well. The lamp was easy and quick to put together. We wanted something that provided some indirect light and this lamp does a good job of doing that. There are 3 brightness settings on this lamp and they cycle through each time you turn the switch. The light is one brightness then goes off, then another twist of the switch gets you another brightness then it turns off etc.. as you turn the switch. This very inexpensive lamp wasn't hard to assemble--just keep pulling the cord out at the bottom, but you have to cut away a bunch of plastic covering each section--which is a bit annoying. It's supposed to have 3 light settings, but I only seem to detect 2 and it turns off between the two. Odd. It does come with a bulb but it's only 15 watts--though it's a LED bulb so it's lumens aren't too bad. I don't know if it can handle a higher wattage or not. It looks pretty good even though the bulb cover is only white plastic. It's so tall that I have to stand up to change the setting. ... show more

the floor lamp is lightweight, shade is thin plastic and cheaply made. the switch on the lamp is just a metal rod that hurts your fingers trying to turn it on. it's very hard to turn. however, the lamp seems to work correctly so far.

The lamp is cheaply made; post comes in several pieces and leans a bit. One piece is not colored as the rest. The globe is cheap plastic. Light was supposed to be three way with dimming capabilities—this does not work. The so-called directions just has “turn on-turn off-turn on” but that doesn’t do anything.
