we own a 2005 Mazda Sedan and the fob was un programmable to our car, therefore the key doesn't work due to the chip in the fob. We are looking for a refund or a new Fob that will work with our Mazda

Saved me so much money. If you have two keys that are already programmed, you can reprogram a third on your own. (Watch YouTube). Unfortunately, if you only have one key, you will have to find someone to reprogram it for you, but it is still cheaper than going to the dealership.

This worked perfectly! Something I did not know, for programming the ignition key, is you have to have two dealership keys to program. Thankfully I had two. I had destroyed my fob when I fell down some stairs so again, worked perfectly for my situation! I saved hundreds going this route.
