Features

  • The body of this ukulele is made of laminate mahogany, which is a hardwood used to make quality musical instruments for centuries. Its colour can vary a fair amount, from a pale pinkish brown to a darker reddish brown, and it tends to darken with age.
  • Mahogany wood is known for its silky warm tone, which is why Elise decided to go with it, and we feel that it matches her personality really well. Elise also sent us hand-drawn designs of the rosette, which we converted into this lovely laser engraving.
  • Elise wanted to use diamond-shaped markers for the fretboard inlays, adding a classy touch to her creation. The neck and fingerboard of this ukulele are made from African okoume and blackwood.
  • Elise decided to go with the rounded bridge completing the overall look perfectly. The nut and saddle of this ukulele are set in such way that you would never have to worry about intonation, because we took care of it for you.
  • This ukulele features a crown headstock chosen by Elise with her signature in the middle. It is also fitted with geared tuners that will always stay in tune.
  • Light and stylish, yet offering excellent protection for your ukulele, Flight gigbags have already become legendary and with one hanging off your shoulder you will definitely make heads turn.
  • Elise told us exactly how she wanted the box black with a mandala print in turquoise. And we made it happen! It was really easy to design with such clear directions and made working with Elise a real pleasure.

The best instrument for beginners for sure. The sound is great too. Just a tip download a tuner app instead of a $23 dollar tuner I got off amazon. The tuner was a waste of money it stopped working (not the correct sounds.) Great instrument.

I LOVE this ukulele. I thought it might sound a little cheap because the strings look plastic, but they’re not and it sounds amazing. Also, I’ve heard that ukuleles usually need like a “break in” time period where you have to constantly tune it before the strings are broken in. I hardly ever have to tune it, and I play it everyday. This is my child's second Uk. This was her first choice and it was never in stock, so she settled on another Flight that she liked also. After six months and seeing a commitment we found this one in stock, on sale, and grabbed it. Both have been a good quality. This is a most excellent ukulele. The strings very good quality, have a very nice timbre, and resonate clearly. The plastic backside of the body of the ukulele is great for carrying around anywhere. Obviously, the beautiful mountain sunset artwork on the front is a big eye catcher, too, and in my opinion captures the laid back back, peacefulness that ukuleles bring out in us.
