  • Best for office work
Color: Black Size: Air Seat 23in Depth
Very durable and ergonomic, easy to assemble and disassemble. Wish the seat was bigger length wise, it leaves a gap of 2 inch between my knees and upper thigh and I'm 5 foot 11 inches tall, has good lumbar support. The nylon is a saver, makes it breathable and comfortable, height and armrest are adjustable ... show more

  • Good Quality. The Headrest Is Not Quite High Enough For Taller People.
Color: Grey Size: Air Seat 23in Depth
All of the hardware was very good quality. The steel components are thick and plenty strong. The plastic parts were thick and strong too. This should be a durable chair. The integral coat hanger seems a bit goofy for home office use, but I may find a use for it. It's not in the way so it's not a problem. It would be nice if the assembly instructions were larger with bold print so I didn't need to use a magnifying lens for my old eyes. The fasteners should have been bagged for each step instead of all loose in the box for me to sort and divine which fasteners went where. The instructions were no help here either. I left the arm rests off the previous two office chairs but I installed them this time. The hard plastic is slick and my forearms slide off to the outside. The main reason I installed them was to complement a couple of nice features on the new chair. It has a headrest and it reclines. Without a headrest I could never use the reclining feature. I thought the arm rests would make it more comfortable to recline, so my arms had some support. I'm 6' 2", and even in the highest position, the headrest hits me on my shoulders and the base of my neck when sitting upright, which is a minor annoyance, but when I recline it supports my head almost as high as I'd like it to be. This chair is comfortable enough when reclining that I can sleep in it when I lower the seat so the floor acts as a footrest. My office is hot in the summer so the all mesh construction should be more comfortable in the warmer months, in addition to being more durable with no foam to compress and break down over time. I can easily clean it with soap and water if needed but the plastic mesh should be stain resistant. This mesh chair should look new longer than a fabric covered foam chair. I may 3D print some rubbery slip on covers for the slick hard plastic armrests. ... show more

  • Great comfort and price!
Color: Black Size: Air Seat 23in Depth
I caught this chair on sale. I was hunting for a chair that resembles office chairs I've used in the past. This mesh feels very strong, and gives a lot of support. The look is sleek and clean, it provides great long-sitting comfort. I bought some of those roller-blade style wheels and it rolls amazing with them. I loved this chair so much, I bought two more for family. All three have held up for a long time, and have grown with kids. The headrest is adjustable, which is a nice bonus for the little ones as they get taller. I highly recommend this for work-at-home, or even lounging in for a few hours after a long days work, while you're taking care of business. ... show more

  • Unimpressed
Color: Black Size: Air-F Seat 23.5in Depth
My hopes for this were probably too high, coming from a similar-style chair at work that I'm sure cost 3-4x as much (quality brand), but even considering the price, I'm still a little underwhelmed with this. Assembly is easy and quality overall feels adequate (not great) for the price point, but comfort is probably about average. First I should say, I'm a large man (6'3" 290lbs, wide frame & tall torso). Seat width and back height are great, but the width between the arm rests is too narrow. My body fits perfectly fine between them, but my elbows don't naturally rest on them. I wish I'd have paid more attention to this measurement as it goes a long way to making a chair feels like it fits you right. A few other things I don't care for: 1) The back feels flimsy when it's locked in place and you're moving about; 2) when reclining, arm rests stay put and are too far forward when fully reclined; 3) head rest doesn't hold itself up in the highest position (detents don't feel strong enough); 4) lumbar support "pillow" can't be set high enough, too low to appreciate. Foot rest works, extends father than others I've experienced and seems like it'd hold up for a while at least, but there's no resistance so it easily sides out when you're moving the chair, and the rest of the chair just isn't comfortable enough (in my opinion) to want to actually kick back in it. I find it closer to a nuisance than a feature as sometimes I can feel it against the back of my calf and it just feels like it's taking up space. I may end up removing it. The trouble with buying a chair online is, of course, not being able to test it before you buy and assemble it. If I had tried this in a Staples or something, I wouldn't have given this one a second look. Unfortunately I already went through the effort to build it, so I feel stuck with it even though I'd like to try a different one, even from the same brand. Speaking of which, neither the box nor the documentation mention the brand Flexispot. I looked up the brand before buying and thought they looked like a legitimate western brand (UK I believe), but at least this model seems like an anonymous Chinese chair that may or may not be sold under different brands, too. If your expectations are modest/realistic, I could see most people not loving it, but liking it just fine. I think you can do better for the money, however. Maybe even within the same "brand." ... show more

  • the recline and ergoomics is top notch for midday naps :) the recline and ergoomics is top notch for midday naps :)
Color: Grey Size: Air Seat 23in Depth
note: some assembly required! it takes a little elbow grease to get the parts jammed in and i spent some time on it but well worth the effort and it just means it is a sturdier and solidly built product that will hold up to force in the long run. i absolutely love this chair! it is incredibly comfortable and better than anything i've ever sat in (and i've sat in many many office chairs in my lifetime). it provides tons of support but doesn't hurt my boney buttocks or back. the only 2 small dings i'll give it are (1) i wish the base and wheels were metal for longer durability but i think the tradeoff is weight and (2) the mesh is very "drafty" so it let's air flow and doesn't keep my back warm... that being said, i think most people would interpret that more as a feature than a bug since like i said, i'm pretty skinny so i think most others would rather appreciate the cooling air flow of the mesh! the biggest selling point for me is the recline that i can lock in place... makes it very useful and perfect for midday naps :) ... show more

  • Not perfect! But definitely close enough, especially at this awesome price.
Color: Grey Size: Air Seat 23in Depth
I selected this chair for its open mesh seat, simply because I'm tired of butt-sweats. 'Nuf said. All the other office chairs with this construction were more expensive, many having flaws I wanted to avoid, with the only good competition being around double the price of this chair. So I ordered it, with more than a little fear that this price was 'too good to be true" for a chair like this. My chair arrived yesterday, and I had it assembled and clean-up done in half an hour. It is exactly as described, though the description couldn't possible convey all the "little things" that become evident after sitting in it for a while. Not surprisingly, whatever that thing is behind the lower back has nothing to do with lumbar support: It is impossible for it to touch the fabric no matter how hard you lean into it. Which isn't at all a bad thing! The back of the chair is wonderfully curved, and has no need for additional lumbar support. My only complaint is I see no straightforward way to remove it: The chair would look better without it, and maybe it could be sold slightly cheaper as well. Speaking of wasted plastic, what's with that coat hanger on the back? It is part of the mount for the headrest, so it can't be left out during assembly. Could be an opportunity to save another buck. Then again, what if that's not what it is? Could it be push handles for Office Jousting? Will have to give that a try right after COVID ends. There are other minor nits to pick, such as the arm rests not being adjustable forward. But I knew that before I bought it, and I think I can live without that feature. I was also surprised to find the seat can't tilt, not even by adjusting the screws during assembly. But after sitting in it, I learned this tilt wasn't necessary: The seat mesh yields in just the right way to make that adjustment unnecessary, for me at least. Finally, there is just one real flaw that irks me: The back doesn't go completely vertical, which is important for me to be comfortable at a keyboard. I mean, who needs a chair that can recline that far back? Give me more vertical instead! Fortunately, I own a 3D printer can can design and print mounting wedges to fix this. May need to get longer bolts too, which is easy enough. But if you need a chair with a back that can go truly vertical, this chair may not be for you. However, the gas lifter is just right: The chair being replaced could never go quite high enough for me. This one does! The castors, while inexpensive, are wide enough to not dig deeply into carpet, another improvement over my old chair. The mesh material in the seat and back is everything I hoped it would be. Overall, this is a fantastic chair punching way above its price class, even allowing for the minor fix I'll be doing. To address the other minor issues mentioned above you'd have to spend at least an additional 50%, more likely double. ... show more

  • Update: Broken armrest within a year. Update: Broken armrest within a year.
Color: Grey Size: Air Seat 23in Depth
I don't get what people are complaining about with the instructions, it says the screws are in the headrest, and they were, in fact, in the headrest. Sure, assembly isn't as easy and putting two Legos together, but if you seriously had issues assembling this maybe you shouldn't be assembling furniture. The bolts DO NOT go into slots, but they pass THROUGH slots so you can adjust the depth of the bottom cushion slightly. Anyone with shorter legs should appreciate that. The only thing I found slightly wonky is that the headrest itself must remain inserted into it's bracket before you attach the bottom half hanger that clamps it to the chairback. If you try to slide it up and down before it's mounted it will push the locking tabs out of the tube, but if you're even basically mechanically inclined you can easily put them back in in seconds. As for the chair itself my biggest concern was the stability of the armrests as these pillar mount style ones are notorious for being wobbly. Thankfully, these ones aren't and I'm assuming it's due to the very stout mounting system that wraps under the bottom. There's a slight amount of movement due to the adjustable height but nowhere near enough that it's distracting. I've seen none better and many that were FAR worse. Height comes up well above where I would want it so I can only assume anyone complaining about the low armrests either don't know how to raise them or they're extraordinarily tall which neither is the chair's fault. (I will never understand why people that are very tall or overweight magically expect all seating to accommodate them.) The mesh is nice and cool and the adjustable lumbar makes it easy to put it exactly where you need it for your height. As someone that's always replaced the wheels on my office chairs even the wheels were of a higher quality than average so these just might stay. Considering high back mesh chairs have always started out at $200 this chair ended up being nicer than I hoped, let alone expected. It's brand new though so if I encounter any problems I'll update this review later. I know how difficult it can be to find a chair that's decent quality and comfortable. UPDATE: Ironic that I was concerned about the armrests, as after a year one of them snapped off right where the bolts go through it. They claim the armrests are tested and rated up to 170lbs, but there's no way the armrest ever saw more than 100lbs. Still waiting on Flexispot to respond if it will be warrantied or even let my buy a replacement as now the whopping 1yr warrantee is up. If a $180 chair can't last a measly year it doesn't matter if it's comfortable or not when I've had $80 chairs that didn't break so quickly. It's one thing if you don't like a product's design or comfort, but this is straight up bad quality and unforgiveable on a name brand chair. Even if they do replace the armrest how long til that one or the other one breaks off? ... show more
