  • Great tool for installing recessed lighting
Size: 3/4” Style: 54”
This is why I love Amazon. Called a residential electrical business to install recessed lighting on my first floor. First thing they said, have to cut your ceiling apart. Amazon? How about this handy-dandy doo-dad... did the trick! Was able to drill from two directions on each hole and get the wires in without any need to cut the ceiling (other than the light fixture holes themselves). Very happy and this tool more than paid for itself. ... show more

  • Stiffer than I thought!
Size: 3/4” Style: 36”
I used this bit to drill a hole through two consecutive joists in our kitchen ceiling. I cut a 6" square hole in the drywall near the first joist. The bit is stiffer than I thought it would be so it was difficult to get it to "bend" to drill the holes at the angle I wanted. It took me two tries, but it did work out in the end. It is a good quality tool. ... show more

  • Everything you'd want in a flexible wall drill bit
Size: 9/16” Style: 54”
Good spring strength and cutting. I'll be using this one a lot.

  • Didn't work at all.
Size: 3/4” Style: 36”
This didn't work at all. First of all, it wasn't flexible as mentioned in the title. Second, it just didn't drill into wood at all. The guide tip would screw in, but then it wouldn't get any further. After examination of the product, I found that the black paint that coats the entire product, coats the blade as well dulling it. So I spent a while peeling off as much of the paint as possible. It took a while, but I exposed the blade as it should be. Tried drilling again, and I was able to get a little further, with the bit actually biting into the wood now, but it still didn't get far before giving up. TLDR: bit just doesn't function. ... show more

  • Plus and minus
Size: 9/16” Style: 54”
On one hand, the flexible shank permitted me to drill a hole in a bottom plate for a light switch. On the other it was so flexible, that I couldn't press hard enough on the drill bit for its auger to catch in the bottom plate. Eventually I found that if I removed the drill and hammered hard on the end of the shank with the auger touching the bottom plate, that after reattaching the drill, it would auger into the wood. ... show more
