Fairly stiff shaft, kind of hard to bend but the auger bit makes it easier to drill with. Used it to drill below a window sill and the length made it possible to go down the wall without having to open it up. Works awesome and for a reasonable cost. Would highly recommend!

This installer bit has been really useful for wire pulling jobs where a regular short bit just will not reach. The 54 inch length makes it much easier to work through walls and ceilings, and the fish eye hole is a practical detail because it lets me pull wire back through without fighting the tool. The screw point bites in well, and the 3/4 inch size feels right for making a clean path without feeling too oversized. I also like the 3-flat shank because it grips better in the drill and does not feel like it wants to slip. Good value for a tool that saves a lot of frustration.

I bought this because I was trying to run Ethernet cable through my house and I was sick and tired of not having a long enough drill bit to drill through wall plates. So, I decided bigger is better and bought this 54-inch bit, knowing that 54" is 4.5', but thinking it would be about waist high. Yeah, this thing came in and goes up to my chest. I'm 5'11", so I should've known it'd be taller than I expected, but yeah, make sure you measure out 4.5' before you purchase lol. I will say, it could be a little more flexible, the hole at the end of the tip could be larger, and the bit could be of higher quality. I used it exactly one time, and the black paint at the end of the bit started peeling off. Also, it definitely took considerable effort to drill a hole. I think it could be sharper and made of a better material. But, I only needed it once, and it did exactly what I needed it to do, so it's sitting in my garage waiting for the next time I need it (which will probably be never but you never know).

As a long drill bit it works great. However I would hardly clasify this as "flexible" as the product describes itself as. I bought this one to save money as it was cheap, however compared to videos of other installers on various video platforms using flexible drill bits, this does not compare to what they use.

There is a black coating on this drill bit that comes off while trying to use the bit. This resulted in the bit flying out of my drill twice no matter how much I tightened it down. I was not able to get the bit to make a dent in my studs and had it bouncing around so much I actually ended up damaging the wiring I was trying to avoid and having to purchase and run new Romex and install a new junction box for a circuit I had no intentions of altering. In the end this cost me about $150 worth of repairs for the damage it caused and wasted money counting on it to work- and I could not get it to work at all. It is dangerous and almost injured me when it flew out of my drill. If I didn’t have the power disconnected entirely I could have been hurt much more seriously.

Wired up my whole house with this bit upgraded from knob n tube to romex. Made fishing cables through walls a breeze.. does get dull so you might wanna be proficient on bit sharpening as this one you'll need to do by hand
