I’m beyond thrilled with this product!! It works so much better than my high priced salon quality flat iron! Heats quickly, is lightweight and sleek, and glides smoothly through my hair without snagging. My hair is super shiny and soft after use. I have very thick naturally curly hair and am blown away at how quickly I can move through sections of hair. For the price point, this thing is great! For not much more you can get something with the couple extra touches this needs to be 5 stars but lets be real, sometimes those few extra bucks really can be the deal breaker and you need to go for the cheaper option. I'll start with the things that are good. Firstly even though it's definitely lower end, I personally love the appearance of it. It's pretty and I like pretty so for me that's a positive. It has multiple heat settings to suit various hair types. Simple one button control to power on and adjust temperature, decent length cord thats long enough to work with yet not so long as to get tangled up in it and be in the way. The cord is on a swivel which is a must for hair appliances. It heats up very quickly (30 seconds according to the instructions, I did let it sit a full minute to be sure) and it does exactly what it's meant to do - straightens your hair quickly and efficiently. The smooth rounded edges means it easily does double duty for adding some nice soft curls/beachy waves if you want to take that route for styling as well. With heat protection spray, my hair glides easily through this straightener and is left silky soft, and perfectly straight. I tested curling with it and had equally pleasing results. Now for what could be improved, in my opinion. I wish there were a light or indicator that it's done heating up. You just have to wait and assume. I guess not too big of a deal since it heats up so quickly, but it would still be a nice touch. The outside of the device does get VERY hot to the touch. If you're not comfortable with your experience using straighteners you may want to also invest in a heat resistant glove to help prevent burns while handling it. It would be nice if the outside were a bit more insulated from the heat to minimize the chances of burning your fingers. Overall for the price point this is a great buy! Perfect for a budget straightener if you need to save money, or if you're new to using a straightener and just want to kind of test drive one before dropping more on a higher end model. Would also be great for traveling with if you want to take something with you that works well but won't be heartbreaking if it happens to somehow be lost or left behind in your travels.

[wife]This is my back up hot iron for when my current one is not working, this one works great and is able to heat up quickly enough while holding its heat as well. I use my hot iron for curling my hair usually and this one works great for this as well!

For the price, you really can't go wrong. I wouldn't advise using it on wet hair like it claims you can though - I think that would be a hazard waiting to happen. Also the temperature is in Celsius so pay attention to the packaging or the description on the listing because that will make quite a bit of difference when doing your hair. My box came opened but nothing appeared to be damaged. The device is quite lightweight which I like some can be extremely heavy and that's just way too much. It heats up very quickly so you aren't standing around waiting for it. Its also compact so it'll be easy to travel with as well.
