  • Amazing for the price... But
The media could not be loaded. When you consider the price, it's pretty amazing. The print results is just as good as the more expensive ones. However, the reason why it's so affordable, compared to other expensive ones, is that it will take you more time and effort to build out of the box. You really have to invest your time/effort. Another thing is that it's kind of like a manual car/versus automatic (costs more); it can be more difficult when it comes to things like correct leveling because it doesn't have auto-leveling feature, etc. So bargain price comes at the cost of more difficulty. But if you're on a budget or like building things, it can be a fun, but a challenging weekend project. If your auto-home isn't working or nozzle isn't moving, etc, it's most likely user-error; I can't stress enough how IMPORTANT it is to LEVEL correctly with a piece of paper on all four corners. DO NOT SKIMP or RUSH that part. If you don't do that then you will have all kinds of problems. I ended up scratching my bed =( The four knobs on the bottom has to be turned in small increments because it's quite sensitive/has to be precise. Major Tip: You do NOT want to push the bed yourself when doing the leveling; use the MOVE control to get the nozzle to the four corners. One annoying thing is that you have to turn the knob many times to get to certain axis, since you can't input numbers/not touch screen either. That is the biggest challenge is leveling properly at 0.1mm thickness ( that's why they make you use a paper) Also if you're not tech savvy or good at building things, this will probably be a major challenge because there's many parts that require to assemble together. This is NOT a quick build; you will definitely spend more than an hour. I appreciate many of the parts were labeled. The manual alone is not sufficient, so it really helps to watch videos on YouTube for the building process. Pros: - Bargain price/cost performance - Prints just as good as the expensive ones - Relatively quiet compared to others Cons: - Can be a major challenge, even for a tech savvy guy like me. Basically build everything from scratch; will take hours (not really recommended for non-tech savvy people) - No auto-leveling feature; this is CRITICAL for working/printing properly. You must manually do it yourself - The leveling knobs adds to the difficulty - Not touch screen - Since you can't enter number inputs, turning the knob takes forever if you want to move to a certain axis - The included filament is junk (especially since it doesn't have a spool) - Mine was missing the clip to hold filament in place on the tube You'll feel so proud once you get a print out out of this because it feels like you built a rocket ship (I thought it was more difficult than building a PC) and your wallet will also be happy. It's not perfect but worth the value if you put the dedication and time. ... show more

  • Excellent machine will be getting more
Color: Adventurer 5m Pro
The media could not be loaded. I bought this over a second Bambu Labs P1S. I saw several reviews and took a chance. I’m so glad I did. This thing makes great prints, is every bit as fast if not faster than my Bambu Labs, and prints perfectly well. It has been great for my prototype testing and printing my for sale products in my 3D print shop. Love that it comes with an enclosure and has the easily swappable hot ends. There are some flaws. The network printing only works with FlashForges own slicer, that is of and when it works. It’s currently not stable. Orca had a beta slicer with the network printing but they’ve removed it. Also you can only print in one color. Not a huge deal, but multi color prints would be nice. I bought this before my birthday at the end of January and it hasn’t let me down at all. Just Don’t Touch the plate lol keep it clean and preheat your bed, level it every so often and you’ll be golden. ... show more

  • Excellent print quality out of the box!
Assembly instructions are clear and videos on YouTube provided by Voxelab were great, but sometimes can take some effort to get the orientation right with what's shown on video. All tools were provided and with some spares! including a little bit of filament, a scraper/spatula, extra nozzles, extra screws, and all the Allen keys needed. That is great! (Note: however, my kit was missing the clamp part for the PTFE tube for some reason. Voxelab, could you send me one please?) Once the printer is assembled, make sure to calibrate the bed leveling carefully. There are other YouTube videos that give detailed instructions how to do that (3DPrintSOS channel has some great resources for the Acquila). Once the bed is calibrated, plug in the microSD card that comes with the kit (another plus!) and do a print test. It prints pretty fast, and my very first test print came out perfectly! There is a little bit of flaring at the bottom layer, but it was minimal. I had a M3D Micro from Kickstarter, and the Acquila is a huge improvement over the Micro for less cost. Overall, I was happy with the printer. Looking forward to print more. ... show more

  • Level The Build Plate
This is my 2nd 3D printer and so far the Voxelab Aquila C 2 is in my opion a little bit better than my first Voxelab Aquila. The display screen on the C 2 is better and easier to navigate through. I use Cura for my slicing software and I kept the same settings accept I had to tweek my retraction speed and distance. Overall it prints just as good if not better than the regular Aquila. The most important thing you can do, is to make sure your build plate is level. Take your time and level it. It doesn't matter what 3D printer you have, if the build plate is not level you will never get your print to stick. There are many videos on YouTube that show you how to do this. Find Youtube videos for Voxelab Aquila by 3D SOS. He does a fantastic job on teaching what you need to know about getting started with your first print. The only cons so far about the Aquila C2 at this point is: 1. The stepper motors are noisy. 2. You will want to replace the stock extruder cooling fans with brushless ones. 3. It has the (dreaded H 2 chip and not the G or N 32 chip) which doesn't bother me since I am happy with LCD display and not interested in customizing it like some others do. Overall, I am very happy with the Aquila C 2 printer and it comes at a great price of $169.00 from Amazon. For a low cost printer it does a fantastic job. ... show more

  • It Prints awesome.
Color: Adventurer 5m Pro
First printer I ordered from different seller just would not work so I returned it and was a little skeptic about ordering another one. I was upgrading my older one. So I looked around for another seller and ordered, received and it prints perfectly. This is an awesome 3d printer. It got a lot of use over the holidays and is still functioning fine. Would recommend this seller and printer. ... show more
