Everything was in the kit was used. If I had and issue it was a print quality issue. Everyone who has this printer needs this kit. Not only does it upgrade the level of the printer it's probably the best thing a new maker should do. Gives a sense of engineering and accomplishment. Highly recommend doing this.

The items in the enclosure kit itself are are great quality. The print files from the FF site for this enclosure left a lot to be desired in my opinion. I had multiple failed prints before I was able to get a full set completed. I also have an AD5X and have the enclosure kit on it, it printed flawlessly when I printed it. The enclosure does help maintain a uniform temperature while it is printing, and keeps dust ect off the printer and print bed. Its clear sides and top also allows for viewing by the grandkids while safely keeping little fingers away.

Horrible. You pay $45 for a few screws and pieces of plexiglass then have to spend 48 hours and 2kg of your own filament printing off your entire enclosure. None of the magnets fit in the holes (I had to drill out the holes because I already had everything printed when I was assembling) and none of the plexiglass windows slide in where they are supposed to. The instructions skip portions of steps and I had to go back multiple times and redo parts where it wasn’t fully explained (even with the instructions not being clear it is 26 steps and takes a full afternoon to assemble) now that it is together the plexiglass on top does not fit on the risers where it is supposed to, the plexiglass on the sides don’t fit, the door bows out and even if everything did fit it looks trashy because it makes you use your own superglue to glue magents into holes that once again are not the right size which leads to a mess. 0 stars. Save the time and money and buy a universal enclosure.

It's a very nice enclosure. I like its looks, and it should help keep the heat in and the dust out. I regret nothing. HOWEVER - I didn't really do enough research and got caught off-guard. First, yes, this is just the non-printable hardware. You'll need ~2kg of PLA for the lid, reel holder, and hinges and ~0.5kg of PETG for the upright plates. Print these pieces from the preset project file from the FlashForge wiki. It has all the settings provided. Pay attention to which filament you're using. Plan for a few days of printing. The instructions are mostly clear enough but sometimes inaccurate. Read them through a few times before starting, but use common sense when the illustrations are wrong. Before starting, you should already have removed the screen and the filament sensor. If you attach the uprights before moving the screen like I did, you'll regret it. You can detach the tubes from the filament sensor by pulling off the little clips from around the connection ports. Be sure you're attaching the filament sensor correctly. Test it by pushing a bit of filament into it. If it's the wrong way around, the filament won't go through. Best of luck to you. It's really nice when it's done.

It works really well, though doesn't make it into a 5M-Pro. Not even close. There are big gaps in the sides that would let air in and toxic VOXs out. It does quiet the 5M down substantially and does a decent job of keeping the heat in. It's relatively easy to put together, though several pieces have to be printed before assembly. This allows customization of the case and presumably saves money. I highly recommend the "minimalist" case, not the standard case.
