The box arrived in perfect shape, and did not take any beatings during shipping. I love the simpleness and ease of assembling it. It took all of 45 minutes. But, what I’m most impressed with is how sturdy it is. Extremely sturdy!!!!!! This bed is very well made at it’s reasonable price. Stop shopping. Get this. You won’t regret it. I went with King in black and love the color and fabric. The headboard is extremely high whereas your pillows will not cover it up! I have a 12 inch memory foam and it goes perfect! I did a ton of research before purchasing my light gray King bed frame from Flash. We had just purchased a new mattress that had specific requirements for the frame for Warranty purposes. This brand and frame was the only one I found in my price range that met them all. It has a Steel Frame and the slats are less than 3in apart. Closer to 2.5in I think. It also has a middle support bar. Instead of having a hollow headboard like most of the others to store parts in, it is stuffed solid. The headboard was well stitched and the tufts were all perfect. It was sent very well packaged, and all the pieces were there and well soldered. I was VERY pleased!! I put the frame together myself in about an hour. We have a 14.5in mattress on here, and as you can see we have plenty of headboard space for our pillows. This was very hard to find! It was also far enough off of the floor to actually store things underneath, and not feel like we were sleeping on the ground like with most platform beds. The mattress sits recessed down on the slats about an inch so you don't have to worry about it sliding around. The frame is very solid with no creaks. My mattress weighs about 130lbs, and my husband and I together another 380. Using smaller tightly fitting slats make it stronger and less likely to bow over time. Each slat has a rubber stopper to hold it in place on both ends. The King size arrives in one huge 148lb box, so make sure you have help to haul it inside! You should feel very confident about this purchase, and for the price its amazing!!! So glad we bought it, and would definitely do it again. ... show more

My son has been sleeping on this bed for a few weeks now. It took some time for him to get used to it because it's a little lower than what he's used too. The bed is really sturdy. It was easy putting together. The headboard is pretty tall so we did try to use the bed with a 7 inch box spring with 11 inch mattress but it didn't look right so I would need a low profile box spring to bring it up a few inches. However, this is not as low as most platform beds. I think you can use it either way, with matress only or with a low profile box spring. Depending on your height preference. Overall, I'm please with how well this bed is made. This was my first time purchasing a bed online and I was hoping that it wasnt cheap since sometimes it looks better online than in person. It's a great looking bed and we haven't had any issues with it. Nothing broken or squeaky and the best part of all ...it was affordable! ... show more

Love love LOVE this bed! My husband and I recently moved to a bigger place and decided to upgrade our bed. We shopped around quite a lot looking for a bed that was high quality and sturdy, yet not insanely expensive. After looking extensively, I narrowed it down to this bed and one other. I was pretty torn but after reading reviews I realized this one was probably going to be the safer bet. And I'm so glad we went with this one! It was fairly easy to assemble (it took my husband and I about an hour, but you could probably do it in less time), it's sturdy, and looks absolutely beautiful once finished – it was just what I was looking for. You seriously won't regret buying this bed, it's perfect! I will warn you though that it is EXTREMELY heavy. We had to open the box and take it upstairs piece-by-piece because it was just too heavy, lol. If you're looking for a new bed, this is it! (We got the king size and the 10in Chime mattress by Ashley and I'm in love with that as well, though in retrospect I might have preferred the 12in. Comforter set from Home Depot). ... show more
