I've used this mattress for about 2 weeks before writing my review so I could make it as accurate as possible. So far, I've loved it! It arrived a day before it was expected. The box is heavy, so I definitely needed help getting it in the house and taking the mattress out of the box. The plastic covering had instructions detailing how to remove it, and after 2 cuts the bed was inflated! I let it sit for 24 hours before placing it on my frame. I will note that my bed never inflated to the full 12 inches - it's 10 inches all around. I don't mind that though, as I have a tall bed frame already and it's a good quality mattress regardless. There was a "new mattress smell", but it was by no means overwhelming and I actually found it pleasant. By the time I got my sheets on I could hardly notice it. The matress itself isn't the firmest thing I've slept on, nor is it the softest. The coils make the mattress bouncier, and the thin layer of memory foam on top cushions you just enough to be comfortable. As long as you like a medium-firm mattress, it's pretty much perfect. I chose to put my 3-inch memory foam topper on for added softness, and it literally feels like I'm sleeping on a bouncy cloud. I've never been so in love with a bed! I bought this mainly because I wanted a firmer mattress on a nursing students' budget. I can tell you first-hand that it's the best I've ever owned! I haven't experienced a single issue with it so far, but I will keep this review updated with how it holds up over time. ... show more

This product says in the description that it is foam and coil springs which is true. What they don't tell you is that the mattress is 95% springs and 5% foam. I noticed it right away when I cut the wrap and it was already 12 inches. As soon as it unrolled I measured it. It's been a week since I purchased my full mattress and I can feel the springs. I weigh 110 lbs and I'm 5 feet tall. The design of the mattress is deceiving. The color pattern on the sides making you think that the top layer (the black layer) is separate from the rest. Top being foam and the rest being spring like other mattresses. After feeling on the sides I was not surprised to notice that the foam is literally half an inch thick. The whole mattress is springs. I find myself feeling the springs on my lower body. You can see see in my picture how far up the springs go. Very disappointed. ... show more

God this mattress is amazing. That is literally the FIRST thing I think EVERY single time I lay down or sit on it. It's nice and firm but still comfortable. I'm definitely quite fat and I don't feel it sink uncomfortably or sag. I just feel like a perfectly supported feather laying on top of the bed. As soon as I sat on it for the first time I actually groaned from I instantly feeling so much tension release from my body. It did have a slightly plastic-y smell for a few hours after I cut off the plastic wrapping but that is to be expected and it wasn't so bad that I couldn't use it. The handles also make it much easier to move. Everytime a friend/roommate/family member/etc passes my bedroom and sees my amazing mattress they make scrunched up jealous faces and mutter about wanting it. Literally every single person. This too provides a kind of satisfaction that other mattresses might not provide. Buying this mattress was the best decision I made during my move. I can't think of a single thing that is bad about this other than it smelled like plastic for two hours after being wrapped in plastic for who knows how long. So far I'm amazed. My husband can't believe how cheap this was. I will have to see how it is in a year but so far it's very comfortable - firm but soft if that makes sense. You don't feel the other person moving around either. I did put a waterproof cover on it since some memory foam mattresses seem to have mold issues. I'll update in a year or so when I see how this holds up but so far with about a month of use I'm very pleased. Probably my best purchase to date. ... show more

The mattress comes vacuum packed and rolled up in a box. I would have to say the firmness of this mattress is a medium firm. It's comfortable and soft to sleep on.

Medium Firm. Came on time. Light smell was manageable. Careful!! Mattress springs out forcefully when unwrapping plastic! Open in center of room with plenty of space! Yes I would buy again. It's in a guest room so won't get too much use. True to size. I bought twin and full. Hope this helps!
