The 5lb Flame King is the Goldilocks of camping propane tanks. The 1lb refillable tanks are fine for a single burner gas stove or a small tabletop griddle but you will need to have several extras if you're doing more than solo camping or out for several days. 20lb tanks are good for home use and refilling 1lb tanks but too much for car camping. The 5lb tank is just right for portability, reliability and convenience. The QCC connection and DOT compliance means it can be refilled inexpensively at the same locations as the 20lb tanks. The kit includes a carrying case and conveniently stores an included 4-foot adapter hose so you are ready to go as soon as the tank is filled.

I bought this refillable propane tank to replace the many small disposable propane tanks I use each camping season. I find a full tank is equal to approximately 5 disposable tanks which saves money and creates less junk for landfills. The tank can be refilled like any other standard propane tank. The tank comes in a neat rugged storage bag with the hose and adapter. The tank will attach to any propane appliance made for the disposal propane tanks. Great for camping, hunting, or tailgating.

Cost $5 to fill and works with my camp stove. Trying to stop using the green single use cans so this is a great alternative. Carry case is pretty snug but you can flip the carry handle to pull the tank out.

This is a nice kit, however, I’m a noob and after learning that I have to pay to get it rectified every 5 years, it would have been wiser to just go the can swap route instead of refilling. I suppose if you can refill this yourself, it’s a good buy, but if you have to go somewhere to get it refilled this is only good for five years.

This cute little canister is perfect for our Buddy heater we are using on our patio. Who ever thought we'd have below freezing temperatures and SNOW in Texas? The little screw on canisters just didn't last very long. This LASTS, even on the high setting. The carry case is padded and very well made. The 4 foot hose is included and was a perfect fit. Couldn't beat the price with a combination like that.

I called the manufacturer and I am waiting for a call back. I ordered the bundle but it was delivered without the hose. I need it today. I'm disappointed. I don't know if it's an Amazon mistake or a manufacturer problem. Will update my review after the problem is solved, it's useless without the hose. Update: no replies from the manufacturer. I bought a hose from Ace because I needed to use it right away. I would have had to return the package and reorder from Amazon in hope if getting the hose this time. So, it ended up costing me more. Disappointed. No service from manufacturer.

Purchased this for our Blackstone to reduce the weight of larger 20lb tanks and it does the trick. With the 5 lb. option, I can usually get a solid week out of it while camping. I am diligent with maintaining the hoses, but I do wish Flame King would include a metal braided hose as a standard feature.
