The main issue is that the part of the shank that inserts into the handle is round instead of a hex or having a flat side and the set screws occasionally come slightly loose from the vibration, allowing the bit to spin, which can cause the tool to catch on the workpiece if you're not careful. The heads of the set screws also seem to be starting to strip. Overall, not bad for the price. I would just recommend grinding a flat on the shank for the set screws to sit against to prevent the tool from spinning, and maybe buy some better set screws. I'm not sure what thread pattern they are though.

Is updated… company got back to me quickly and offered me a couple different ways to compensate me for damaged item.. Was very accommodating and quick to resolve issues.. Sent all new replacement heads for carbide tips even though only one was broke, and offered discount on product. Product itself is excellent Quality. I've used it several times on my Mini lathe, and works much better than the high steel cutters. Carbide tip on round cutter was chipped, diamond cutter had tip broken off, and handle was scratched to h***. Package itself was in good shape, so don't know if it happened during shipping, or before it even shipped out.

The lathe tools are good quality and work very well. For me they are too short and after using the exchange tips I would rather have dedicated tools as it is a pain to change tips.

Not full size chisels but a good medium sized set. Collet on handle accepts 3/8" shank max. Really wish they sold this handle alone that would fit 1/2" shanks

There were no instructions or information included regarding how to order replacement carbide inserts, and the star-drive screwdriver was rusty. Initially the tools would not insert into the handle. I had to remove knurled tightener and the collet, expand the diameter with a large screwdriver, and then the tools would insert into the handle. Otherwise, the tools work fine.

So far the carbide tools do the job. I haven't used them for what I bought then for yet, which is turning epoxy resin bowls. Looking forward to trying them out. Works good on wood!
