My elderly parents ordered one of these a few months ago and I tried them and fell in love with them! I have an old set of hand trimmers and I would always get blisters by the time I was done. These cut easily and no blisters!! So, I had to buy a pair of my own.

These do exactly what I needed them for. I have a few patches of grass that I can't really use a weedwhacker on and these do the job to cut the grass down in those areas. Wouldn't recommend for branches and sticks on pruning jobs, but great for grass

They clip, but the location of the lock button can often get bumped and lock the clippers in the closed position when you don’t want them to. I don’t really use the adjustable head on it, so if I had to buy again, I would probably look elsewhere for a more basic, time honored design

I really like that these shears swivel which helps while trimming hard to reach areas. The biggest problem I have with these is where the lock is located. Yes, it's convenient to lock when you're done using them. BUT due to the location, my thumb is constantly locking the shears while I'm using it. I've had other Fiskers tools, so I know them to be well designed. The blades on this are nice and sharp. The blade end can be rotated so that it cuts vertically or horizontally. One hand can make the blades cut, and there is another handle for the other hand so that the user has plenty of control.
