  • exceptional loppers
Style: 32 in
I used these for the first time today to cut up a large oak branch and they worked beautifully, better than expected. I cut through 1 1/4 inch branches with ease and was impressed with their strength and with the amount of leverage the handles place on the blade. This is likely too much tool for most homeowners, but it will serve well those homeowners who do choose it, and would be essential for those with rural properties and ranchers where cutting up branches is a frequent task. Easy to use, very heavy-duty, and makes quick work of cutting branches down to size. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • My lilac bush had no chance
Style: 32 in
I have a lilac bush had become quite unruly and needed a trim STAT. I have various cutting tools, but none of them would work on the thick branches of that darn lilac bush. I finally bit the bullet and bought these awesome cutters! They are GREAT! Not only did it cut the thick branches with ease, it is light enough that my hands & shoulders didn't hurt! I picked Fiskars because I have a lot of their other gardening tools and they're always good quality and worth the money, and they proved it once again. I'm sure there are cheaper options, but they won't last as long as these. ... show more

  • Easily cuts up to 1" branches!
Style: 32 in
These trimmers are fantastic. They are geared and give excellent leverage for those stubborn branches. They cut right up the size where you say, "oh I better get the saw for that one". 1" branches are no problem. The only caveat I'll give is that the way they are configured to give you leverage can make it a little difficult to get them positioned over the branch easily. You'll have to use them to understand, but IMO, they are worth it to get the strength you need to power through those tough branches. ... show more

  • Works like a charm
Style: 32 in
I'm battling some trees outside my window and decided to get these. They cut through very thick branches like butter. Tons of leverage. My biggest issue is the weight and how hard it is to cut a large branch above you because of how wide you need to open them for a big branch. It's a bit of a nitpick, because I'm not sure how they could fix that issue, but they're built great and branches are no match for it. ... show more

  • Worthwhile Investment
Style: 32 in
Just got these & used them for the first time. I got the 32" that will cut 2" limbs. They will just cut 2" limbs/trunks as it shows in my pictures, through it definitely isn't like cutting butter unless you had maybe 2" of butter frozen in liquid nitrogen, though I can't say I've tried that so I don't really know. Anyway, it will just cut 2" of wood, but the jaws are open to their max width, which makes a very large angle to squeeze. I will say it took me two cuts to get through the 2" trunk in the pic. It's definitely doable, though. (Note that I'm almost 62 & not nearly as strong as I used to be so keep that in context as you read this.) It will cut smaller limbs like butter. Note that the handles are no longer the soft Fiskers grips, though that doesn't effect the performance. They just aren't as comfy as they would have been. I'm glad I got these & was able to cut a number of small trees that have annoyed me all summer. ... show more

Great loppers for cutting down a bush.

  • Perfect tool with great ergonomics!
Style: 32 in
I used the Fiskars Garden Bypass Lopper and Tree Trimmer to tidy up the branches of a tree that were brushing against the side of my townhouse. The sharp blade made quick work of the task, and its sturdy build gave me confidence as I worked. The leverage of the Iskars Garden Bypass Lopper and Tree Trimmer was evident when I effortlessly cut through thicker branches without feeling fatigued. Its long handles provided ample leverage, making each cut feel smooth and controlled. I do feel that the ergonomics of this tool are very evident as I felt no discomfort or strain in my hands or arms even when putting extra pressure to cut down thicker limbs. The comfortable grip allowed me to maintain a secure hold on the lopper, ensuring precise cuts without any slipping. Thanks to the bypass cutting action, each branch was cleanly severed without any crushing or splintering, This feature gives me confidence that the trimmed branches will normally regrow properly, but in this case they may not as my tree won’t regrow limbs unless there is still green left on the branch. ... show more

This product was used almost daily by an Appalachian Trail ridgerunner in their job helping to care for the trail. He reports back that it performed well consistently and how happy he was with it. He carried it daily along with sleeping bag, shelter, stove, food, first aid kit, other trail tools and water. It was durable, sharp, easy to use and a good value. ... show more
