It is so easy to produce a smooth clean caulking result without pumping a caulk gun or squeezing a tube while trying to keep a steady stream as your moving across the surface. Whether it is in your bathroom or kitchen, all you do is preset the flow rate, pull a trigger and smoothly draw the nozzle across the area to be caulked. I’m using mine for a greenhouse project and it is making short work that is fun for a first time caulk gun user like me. As far as the cost goes, it is a great value for a great quality tool. I tried using a hand pump caulk gun and there is no comparison. That gun has been donated to our local charity.

I already have a fair amount of both M12 and M18 tools. I saw this before but didn't need it until a recent project. Another quality of life tool that makes certain jobs easier and faster. The bead control which is speed to pushes the silicone out, works great. Just before sure to do test runs. I found a pretty good difference between speed 2 and 4. It has 1 thru 6 with one being the slowest and six the fastest speed it will push the product out. I used speed 2 pushing clear silicone thru a 1/16" hole I cut in the tube end. Worked great for me.

Fair price for a good caulking gun

My only complaint is that I wish I had purchased this sooner. It's a really well executed tool. I really dislike caulking and find it's really tough to get a professional look. A few years ago I moved from manual caulk guns to a pneumatic unit and that was a good improvement. The negative there was being connected to an air line and the flow was inconsistent (constant air pressure doesn't equal constant plunger movement). This thing just nails it. The speed adjustment is perfect (I only really use it at about a 1-2 and the output is super consistent. I've put about 10 tubes of caulk through this in the first couple days and it's a game changer. Also, the M12 seems to be plenty. No need for the bulk and weight of the M18 setup.

It's not the panacea that I had expected. I bought this mid-way through prepping and painting my back wall. I have a super old home that required a lot of prep and a lot of caulking. I assumed that this would pay for itself, so to speak, on that job alone, as far as speed and hand fatigue were concerned. We ended up using a $15 lightweight no-drip version more so than this. This is large and heavier than the traditional guns, obviously. When you pull the trigger it begins moving the "stepper motor" forward, at an adjustable rate, which is nice. When the trigger is released the stepper motor is reversed just a notch to stop the caulk. It does work. But if you start and stop a lot, it's not all that helpful. It slows you down, in fact. If you have long lines to run, this would be suitable and useful. The more intermittent your applications are, IMO, the less useful this is.

Dont let the price deter you! Absolutely amazing product as are most of the milwakee brand m1e and m18 products. This will place a perfect bead of caulking every time!!! The auto-rewind function stops the caulking from coming out due to the build up of pressure in the barrel of the tube so starts and stops are drastically improved. Pretty easy to get used to also!
