I bought this tank mainly because I liked that it came with a clear top to keep my betta from jumping out. I'd lost my first one that way. Very sad. It is a nice looking tank. I am not using the divider because I really think it would be cruel to house a betta in just one half of this small tank. Some people think even 3 gallons is too small. I tried the filter. It was pretty noisy, so I am using a sponge filter instead. The light worked well, but I thought it was a bit too much like bright spotlight so I replaced that also. The clear acrylic top fits beautifully and since that is the reason I chose this aquarium, I am quite happy. And so is Yankee my new red white and blue betta.

This is an attractive 3-gallon fish tank, with very clear (but very thin) glass. I filled it nearly to the rim to test it and it avoided leaks. I ordered the black version, and was expecting it to have an opaque black side due to the image and description on the product page but the back panel is tinted a dark gray and still transparent, which I prefer. Pros are that the included LED light, which is very small does work well with a choice of three very distinct hues, yellowish, white, and blueish. I used it at the very brightest level as the dimmer levels are fairly low and would only be useful if this was in a very dark room and you wanted a very dim mood light. In my picture I have just set it up without live fish yet and dropped a few fishing lures in it to show the brightness even at its highest level is not as bright as I would like it to be on the far side from the light. Also, note that the light is shown in the product page as being mounted on the narrow end instead of the back. That will be a necessity if you want the light to shine from the front edge into the tank to better illuminate the fish. I mounted it on the back at first and quickly realized that it only reaches to the middle of the tank if you do that and you will be backlighting half of the tank if you clamp it onto the backside. I would have preferred to mount it on the back to keep the wires and controller better hidden. I have my own larger filters from old tanks to use but once I have the live fish I may give the provided filter a try, but it looks like it may be a bit on the small side to be as effective as I like. The biggest concern I have about this is that the glass is very thin compared to my other tanks, but my old tanks are all at least 10 gallon tanks, up to a 40 gallon tank and maybe my only having experience with much larger tanks is why the glass seems almost too thin. I don't think it would take too much of a bump against this with something rigid to crack it. Fingers crossed that does not happen.

Great little nano tank! It came well packaged and in great shape. The tank includes the glass, cover with independent access ports for both sides, divider with blackout screen, nano power filter, adjustable LED light, and instructions. The glass was clear and didn't show any imperfections. This particular model is white bottom leveling mat with clear glass on all sides. The tank is rimless, so its straight glass from floor to ceiling. The seal seems sufficient for this size tank. The access ports for either side was nice but the plastic design may be a little weak and would therefor be completely useless if one of the little attachment arms broke. I do like that both sides are accessible independently. The filter is a classing nano power filter that will provide suitable water movement with mechanical and chemical filtration. There are the usual biological filtration "designs" built in, but they are never that great in actuality. The LED light is nice. It is a single pendulum style light with several brightness modes and 3 light color modes. These light modes can change from a yellow tone to a neutral tone to a more white 5000K style light. The light is directional and conical, but would work just fine for most nano applications. I wouldn't suggest any kind of light hungry plant tanks or coral, but any other configuration would be ok. My OCD type brain would like to see the light be centered on the back of the tank, but the swing arm and pendulum does allow you to center the light over the tank. Nothing critical, just a personal preference. Overall, I would recommend this tank! I really like the divider setup for an elaborate Betta tank or in my case... I am going to set it up as a nano reef with a different light that I have. The price point of $52.99 is suitable, but a little nano heater would be a great addition. Edited- After running the tank for a couple weeks I have a few added thoughts on it. The nano filter is quite nice. I really like the surface skimmer addition. For those who have to deal with surface particulate, this piece seems like it may be a heaven send for keeping it clean. I am very curious to see how this will perform over time. The bracket the holds the light one may end up being problematic. The "U" shaped bracket that holds to the glass sits about 1" from the top edge of the glass. I foresee this bracket getting rusted or getting salt creep really bad over time. The light is solid, but just something to keep your eye on. Also, the black out rear glass is not fully opaque but rather just a darkened clear glass. It looks really nice, but you can still see cords and whatnot behind the tank. It will also darken any aquarium background that you may want to add later. Something to think about. Again, I would still recommend this product in either variation.
