  • Great fish tank!
Love this tank. We have it set up in the corner on a cuby and it looks great. It is built well and seems to be durable. Doesn't seem to tip over easy and the lights are bright. Super easy to assemble and get ready for fish. The filter keeps the water clean and is not noisey at all! Great entry level fish tank! ... show more

  • So far so good So far so good
So far so good - I honestly don’t know much about fish. I got this tank because I saved a minnow from becoming catfish food. All I had to put him in originally was a very small container, and didn’t plan to become a fish parent so it was important that I find something on a budget. I can’t say much about the filter quality yet, but I also added a $10 aerator that I found on Amazon as well. Added some rocks and fake plants and so far, this sick little fish seems much happier. I got the 6 gallon, and I love the size. The cylindrical shape takes up less table top space while still giving the fish space to swim. The lighting affect is cool & looks really nice as well. ... show more

  • Very deep but nice aquarium
Decent aquarium for the money, but very deep. Hard to fix anything without it overflowing and getting you arm all the way up to your shoulder wet. Lid has lots of condensation and drips out the back and down the outside of the tank when you lift the lid. The light is fine but you have to click through all the colors to find the one you want which is annoying. The filter is ok, it works enough for one small fish but is small and a little cheesy. It’s definitely cool and doable for a round tank. ... show more

  • What a great purchase
My SiL had fish, he started out with a smaller tank and moved up to a huge tank that took up half a wall. As the fish died off, he was working out of town and I took over the fish care. We only had 1 fish and didn't need the 100 gallon tank. So I got this 6 gal and it's perfect! Its nice to look at and much easier to care for. Very quiet, easy to clean. The only thing I have trouble with is turning off the light. I haven't read the "instructions" lol because I hate that stuff. I'm sure it says how to, and I will have to read it. But right now Rocco and I are okay with it. Great price too. ... show more

  • Poor quality.
Received this fish tank and the filter pretty much immediately stopped working. Contacted Amazon support, was unable to contact the seller through them. The seller is just unavailable due to website being down. Since we can’t contact the seller for a replacement, Amazon reps want me to dismantle my entire tank to send the whole thing back. Don’t buy this. The tank is cool. The filter is garbage. The seller doesn’t care. Don’t buy this. ... show more

  • Poor filter. Good tank.
Filter didn’t work out of the box. Rest of the tank is great. Company should adjust for a good all around product. Seems consistent with reviews.

  • Solid little (big) aquarium
I hesitated to order this as the reviews about it arriving broken/cracked worried me a lot. I decided to chance it and I'm so glad I did! It was packaged very securely, a secure and reinforced cardboard box (with some padding) inside an even bigger box. Basic but it worked and arrived unscathed to me. It's also bigger than I expected-- so if you're like me and can read dimensions but don't really get a clear picture in your mind; imagine a five gallon bucket like you get from a hardware store but even taller. Thankfully I had plenty of desk space where I wanted it so my inability to visualize the size wasn't a problem at all. I've seen a lot of people get this for a betta, and it's plenty of gallons for one (5+ gallons seems to be the standard) it's not a good shape for one. Betta are better suited for long, shallower tanks as they need to go to the surface regularly. With some careful hardscaping and planning it could be made to work if given proper levels/areas to rest near the top, but for the price I think you'd be better off getting a standard 10 gallon tank, or even spoiling it with a 20 gallon long. ;) I plan to use it for shrimp, and it seems like it will work really well for that. Plenty of room for scaping and plants. I'm not using the lights or filter (or the lid at all, tbh) so I can't speak to how good those are. I've seen other reviews saying the filter wont work because it doesn't reach to the bottom or that the flow is too strong for a betta. Personally I think the best fix to both of these is to just get a sponge filter (I'm using the adjustable hygger one) but if you want to use the filer it comes with you could probably go to a hardware store and buy a longer plastic/pvc tube so the actual intake is lower towards the bottom of the tank. Seems like more work to me but would probably be petty cheap. Not much else to say-- I have it filled and cycling and it's going fine so far. No cracks, no leaks. Only using the actual aquarium, not any of the hardware though, so really I'm just saying "it's a nice plastic cylinder", so take my review with a grain of salt :p ... show more
