Directions: ADDING FISH When starting out it is best to add one or two fish and wait 2 weeks as the aquarium becomes established and beneficial bacteria begin growing, unless you add products that can speed up this process. Typically, it takes 4 to 6 weeks for a tank to cycle through and become established. So always best to start slowly. Generally, the number of fish you can keep in your tank depends on the type of fish and amount of bio-load in your tank. A pleasant surprise and relaxing addition to home. The price was very resemble and I was surprised at the product quality when it arrived. This is a great aquarium tank. The curvature makes items larger than they are which is great for viewing. The light is really too dim to grow plants but there are other lights that can be used. You won't be able to use the cover, though. The pump is great, when it is working. I like the waterfall effect. Eventually, if you clean it regularly, the cord to the pump will stop working as the flexing back and forth will wear it out. The filters designed for this are not really suitable. However, I've found that using two (2) filters works a lot better. I have had it for almost a year and it suits my shrimps and snails rather well. ... show more

I recently purchased this Koller 3-Gallon Aquarium, and while I love the overall design and size, I’ve encountered some frustrating issues that have left me feeling a bit disappointed. Tank Design and Quality: The aquarium itself is great! It’s the perfect size for small fish or aquatic plants, and it looks stylish in any room. The build quality is solid, and the glass (plastic) is clear, offering a beautiful view of the water and inhabitants. The setup was easy, and I had it up and running in no time, which was a definite plus. Water Filter Issue: However, just one month after setting it up, the included water filter stopped working. I followed all the instructions for cleaning and maintenance, so it wasn’t due to neglect. It’s very frustrating when you invest in a product that’s supposed to provide a reliable, long-term solution, and the filter fails so quickly. I expected better performance from a brand that positions itself as offering quality. Customer Support: The biggest letdown, though, has been the lack of sales support. I reached out to the company for assistance, hoping to either fix or replace the faulty filter, but unfortunately, I received no response. After several attempts to contact them, it’s been clear that the customer service is non-existent, which is incredibly disappointing. A working filter is essential for maintaining a healthy aquarium, and without proper support, the overall experience has been less than ideal. Overall: While I’m still enjoying the tank itself, the experience has been tarnished by the premature failure of the filter and the lack of customer support. If you’re thinking about buying this aquarium, I’d recommend considering the possibility of needing to replace the filter sooner than expected, and be prepared for poor support if you encounter any issues. Great quality fish aquarium, I haven’t used the filter as of yet since I just have a betta fish and I’m using a sponge filter. The aquarium has been durable however if you fill the aquarium a few centimeters from the top the lid doesn’t fit properly. It’s durable easy to clean. I highly recommend this aquarium. ... show more

I read most of the reviews. This tank is beautiful. It came well boxed and protected. It is a thinner plastic - but so was my last tank. I saw no scratches, chips or cracks. I have a beta who was in a very small tank before with no filter, it took him a day or so to get used to all of the space - now he swims around like he owns the place. The light is certainly bright enough for fake plants and the filter seems to be sufficient. I did purchase a small heater. The only thing that I have found that I am not pleased with is that the timer choices are only 2 and 4 hours, I guess I can use that option when I am out of town. But for now, I turn the light on in the morning when I feed the fish - and off in the evening. ... show more

So I’ve had this tank for just over 3 years. What I do like is the column design and small footprint. What i don’t like is that filter that comes with it isn’t very powerful to cycle the depth of the tank. Also the light is far too dim. I replaced both with a stronger filter (go for a 10+ gallon filter) and I went with a bar LED light with a timer that I stuck in the top lid. The lid broke a couple years ago on one side of the ‘hinge’ so I just set it on top and it still works. I did contact Koller to buy a replacement lid but they don’t offer replacement parts and they told me just to buy a new one which isn’t going to happen. The plastic column design warps the view of fish as well. I wouldn’t put more than a few small fish (guppies, tetras, mollys) and a snail or two. All in all it’s an okay beginner tank but expect to replace a few things out of the box to make it way more functional. For the high price ($65) I would instead get a Top Fin ‘Facinate’ column tank instead. It’s far superior on many levels and will last a much longer time.
