I'm 350lbs and this frame is STRONG!!! Holds me and mattress without issue. Do not need a box frame. Easy to put together, my 2 tween boys did it. The middle support bar arrived slightly bend but is strong, attached as it should and hasn't cause any weakness in the frame. Would 10/10 buy again. This definitely supports a large body person, doesn't wiggle or creak. Frame is approx 12". Doesn't allow for big underbed storage clearance, but that works for me. This bed frame is easy to assemble and seems very sturdy. The only negative is that 2 of the slats have a long wax strip that you’re supposed to peel off revealing a sticky side. I guess they think it will keep the mattress from sliding around on the bed frame. No way that would work especially since most of us partially lift the mattress to put the sheets on. That sticky strip is just going to get covered in lint eventually and probably leave sticky residue on the mattress. So I just left the waxy strip on. ... show more

I recently purchased the FIRSTHOMES Bed Frame in Black and I have to say, I am thoroughly impressed! As someone who is a bit of a DIY novice, I was a bit intimidated by the thought of assembling a bed frame, but this one was a breeze to put together. First and foremost, the bed is incredibly quiet. I'm a bit of a restless sleeper, so I was concerned about any squeaks or creaks keeping me up at night, but the heavy duty steel and foam tape padding really do the trick. It's also worth noting that the extra wide legs and additional center support legs make the bed incredibly stable - I've never felt more secure while sleeping! One of the biggest selling points for me was the fact that no box spring is needed - this is a real game changer! The heavy duty steel slats provide excellent support for the mattress and prevent sagging, which is great for both comfort and mattress longevity. Plus, the under bed storage is a real lifesaver for someone like me who always seems to have clutter lying around. I can finally keep everything organized and out of sight. Another nice feature is the predrilled holes in two of the legs for attaching a headboard. I didn't opt for a headboard, but it's nice to know that the option is there for future use. And with the anti-skid tape provided on two of the slats, my mattress stays in place all night long - no slipping or sliding! I purchased this twin size frame for my 11 yr old daughter after having already purchased a full size frame of the same type for my wife and myself. now three months later thee frame is almost completely destroyed. the slats that were said to be able to hold 1000 lbs are buckled and bent simply from a 11 yr old 125lb girl using it everyday for sleep and rest. i would ask for a refund but i doubt the company would since its been like i said 3 months since we purchased the frame. but buyer beware i suppose. ... show more

It squeaks after a month of use. I ain’t doing the wild thing in this bed yet it still squeaks constantly when getting on/off of it so in other words, very normal, single person use has caused the most annoying noises. I took the mattress off to inspect and grease it but it’s a spot that isn't rubbing on anything else. I’m not a heavy person either so that’s not the issue. ... show more
