I love starting the wood stove with these cubes. I hate to continually stuff paper or cardboard in and since these cubes burn longer I only need 1 or sometimes 2 depending on the wood and our fire is roaring.

These things are great! We brought these to the cabin where the only heat is from the fireplace. We would throw one of these into the fireplace and stack wood around them. They are super easy to light and really get the fire off to a great start. These make it so easy to get a good fire roaring. Killer price point for how effective they are. Perfect for camping, bonfires, wood stoves and so may more outdoor activities.

I had some hits and misses with these as I used them but started to have better success towards the end of package. They worked perfectly for starting a fire with wood pellets in my Solo Stove Bonfire and Mesa. I had a much harder time starting fires with dry wood though without pellets lining the bottom. It would take me up to 5 or 6 of these bricks over two separate times to get the wood to catch. I would use kindling with it to try and get it started but these starters would stay lit for about 8 minutes and then my fire would smoke out and die. Since using these, I’ve been starting with pellets and it’s helped with getting my fire started much better. I still think I would get these again because 2-3 of these do work to get a fire going within 7-8 minutes when using pellets. It’s hard to pass up a deal with these being so cheap when you get so much. They’re easy to light and do last as while once lit. Like I said, the only snag I had was in the beginning trying to get full fires started without pellets.

I have been putting things together for a prep kit. Feel like we need to be prepared for anything these days and I wanted something that would help us start fires. Each cube lights up quickly and burns for a long time, making it easy to start a fire without hassle. They are completely odorless and don’t produce any chemical smell, which is a huge plus when using them for cooking. I was especially impressed with how waterproof they are. Even in damp conditions, they lit up without any issues, making them perfect for outdoor adventures.
