The pen falls out of the elastic loop. The magnets to hold the cover closed are tiny and occasionally fall out. I’ve had to glue 2 of the 4 in place. The design is beautiful and gives lots of options for folding.

This case is inexpensive and perfect for what I needed...which is to protect the screen and put my devise to sleep. Great pen holder and doesn't add much weight or dimensions to my scribe. Would recommend this case to anyone looking for something simple.

I was originally on the fence on whether I was going to keep this or not, but after changing how I use this, I decided to keep it. For reference, I have a ton of Kindles - three Paperwhites, an Oasis, and this Scribe. I honestly didn’t have a clue about how I was going to use my Scribe when I bought it. I was originally going to use it like I use all my other Kindles - to do some nighttime reading just before bed. But the Scribe - like the Oasis - is so slippery, given its metal case. I was hoping to just find a case that is easier to grip so it doesn’t slip out of my hands and hit my face (which has happened more times than I’d like to admit). This case is REALLY heavy, and because of that, it was pretty much immediately decided that I would be returning this. But I decided to go back to my Oasis for my nighttime reading, and to use my Kindle to take notes at work during meetings. It really does look more professional and modern than taking notes on a notepad or notebook, allows me to move text around, and send notes out pretty easily. Because of that, I decided to keep the case (and Scribe, for that matter). It’s heavy, but used as a notebook, it’s not to bad. The pencil holder is really nice to have. The magnetic holder that the Kindle has by default doesn’t work well. If you put it in your bag, your pencil will disconnect - guaranteed. The positioning of the pencil is elegantly placed, taking minimal extra space, but making it easy to store and retrieve the pencil to take notes easily

I love the color of my case, the pen holder, and how easy it is to set up on a table to read. BUT I've had this case for about two months and the magnets have started falling out. Whenever I open the case they've slipped out of the plastic shell and are stuck to the cover. If I look closely, I can see small cracks on the sides of the shell where the magnets should be. I have never dropped my kindle or handled it roughly in any way. I'm disappointed :(

I use it for reading, downloading my pdf text book for Korean, study notes, writing homework, pdf calendar, work notes, journaling. Love, love, love it! There are no distractions from text messages, emails, etc. You have complete peace and focus on what you are doing. I definitely recommend getting the 32 gb for $20 more. I had originally gotten the 16 gb on accident, instead of the 32 gb. You immediately lose 5 gb of storage from the program and if you are using this for PDFs you will need that storage space. I love a good book. The smell, the feel. It transports you to a whole new world. The kindle is so easy to pack, to take to work, to take to the gym, to read at night. You have thousands of books at your finger tip. Now on my 30 min lunch I get to sit and read while before my books were too bulky to pack in my work bag. Worried about your eyes? I stare at a computer screen my whole shift. That is the main reason why I never tried a kindle. It isn’t hard on my eyes at all. I have sat and read for 10 hours on my day off. (Winter is the time to stay home and read) In fact, at night trying to read a physical book the light would bother me so I would end up just scrolling on my phone. I am a few days into owning this kindle scribe. I will update in a few months about durability.

I LOVE this case! I got the Rustic brown and it's that soft velvety feel I love so much, like the Remarkable 1 cases years ago. It's just gorgeous. Both angles actually *work, too. So many times they just flop over. I'm so glad I got the perfect case on my very 1st try :-)

Bought this for my Scribe and really like it. It's easy to hold, stays on reasonably well for sleep mode(ie it's not getting bumped a lot unless my poochies are being silly and might bump the case), and is pretty to look at as well. My only complaints are that the image on the tablet is. . . stretched and grainy in some areas like the image wasn't made for it and was stretched, and that the holder for the pencil is too difficult to manage as someone with hands that don't work properly due to my disability. Even once in the holder it still feels flimsy. If you're looking to keep the pencil with the case at all times, I'd recommend buying something with a different holder.
