I have the latest Kindle scribe. This case fits the newest Kindle model fine, except for the missing hole for on/off button (has correct opening for charging) - this one is designed for previous year model, I believe, but since it provide auto on/off screen function, I don't need to press on/off button on Kindle, so this cover works great on my latest Kindle scribe. I also have Kindle cover from different manufacturer I purchased $2 less than this one from Amazon, which is very similar in design, but has silicon/rubber edges. This one is just thin plastic all around the edge - appears very strong plastic, but does feel somewhat cheap. This cover is much lighter, and this may help reading for long time, handheld. Top screen cover design is ok, but nothing to thrill about. I does have textured skin, so no slipping (I was hoping to try out blue cover, but black was only choice they had). Inside of the screen cover has felt like material and should help preventing scratch on the screen. Pen holder is very easy to pop in/out pen. Maybe too much easy -since the notch on the pen holder release is opened all the way (my other case has hole on bottom only to push the pen out), so you may accidently pop out pen when holding the Kindle while reading. I have not done any drop testing, so the thin plastic is good enough (vs silicon/rubberized cover). It's good case for the price. If you are limited on budget, like me, I recommend this for protecting main Kindle screen.

Really enjoy this case for its visual and build quality. Overall a very nice addition to my Scribe. Some might not like the lack of a stand or hand holding sleeve, but I prefer slim cases in general and this fits that well - no pun intended.

The media could not be loaded. Today I'm reviewing this case for the Kindle Scribe by Fintie, It's a plastic case that has a bit of a texture on it. It's a little slick, but not too bad though. I would consider this a basic case. Some of the things I like about the case: it does have magnets to keep it shut which is a good protection. The magnets are the typical strength I've seen on other cases for the Scribe, and they do activate the automatic screen unlock so that when you open the case the kindle is going to recognize that, and it will prompt you for your unlock code if you have one. Compared to some other cases it is much easier to remove the stylus if you're using it. It's gripping the sides of my Kindle Scribe very nicely and it's not popping out easily like I've experienced with some other cases. You do have access to the USB-C port for charging whether or not the case is open. Then you also have access to see the light (with the case closed) so you know when the charging is complete. One thing that I do wish this had that most of my other cases have had is some form of a kickstand on the back. If you are looking for a basic case to protect your Kindle Scribe this can definitely do the trick if you like the black plastic textured cover. I'm going to rate this four out of five stars. Pros - Magnets keep the lid from accidentally opening - Maintains USB-C port access when closed - Grips Scribe pretty good - Stylus is easy to remove from the case Cons - No built-in kickstand - Can be a little slick to hold - Pricey at list price of $36

Got this case because it isn’t supposed to wear out and it is a better option to hold my pencil. However, although the pencil fits tight and the folio is smooth and hard like a pressed leather or a plastic, and looks nice, it doesn’t make me happy because the pencil holder is where the magnet is to hold the pencil. This magnet is a very beneficial tool when using the scribe. In my opinion, the folio was made to look nice, but whoever invented it does not use a scribe.

I've had another Kindle Scribe cover from this brand for about a year, and it was adequate but nothing special. This newer model is much improved, and it's a perfect cover for my Scribe. The textured surface keeps the case looking clean and doesn't show the effects of oily hands. The pen holder securely holds the pen, yet it's easy to remove. The two magnets keep the top cover closed. There are small features that show the detail that went into this cover -- for example, the small dimples for the 4 rubber feet on the back of the Scribe and the hard edges on the bottom cover for durability. You can spend more for a Scribe cover, but you won't find a better basic cover that looks good and provides protection and secure pen storage.
