I purchased the Finnez Window Privacy Film for my home, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. The installation was quick and simple—just cut to size, spray some water, and smooth it out. No messy adhesives and no residue left behind if you ever want to remove or reposition it. The privacy level is outstanding during the day. From the outside, you can’t see in at all, but from the inside, plenty of natural light still comes through. So, first I'd like to address some complaints in the reviews. Yes, this does come clear (with a frosted back that peels off as shown in the first picture), as all films I've used so far. This does not affect the privacy, nor the rainbow effect. The pattern is easily visible on the clear piece before putting it up. However, it is no longer clear when light hits it. The 2nd pic shows the pattern and rainbows on a cloudy day. The 3rd pic is on a sunny day. This is one of the easiest window films I've used so far. Cuts easily and repositions easily as well. When the sun hits this window, there are rainbows that reach the other half of the house. It's gorgeous! Ensuring the soap and water mix is correct is crucial for any window film to be successfully hung. I ordered a kit from Amazon to make sure it would right. The kit also included a plastic piece to ensure all bubbles would be removed. It's also important to cut to size, place from the middle, go up and down, then move outward. This helps the bubbles will flatten. I'd absolutely recommend this to anyone.

Alright, this is about to be an in-depth review. Get some popcorn and take a seat. I wanted a project to do during quarantine, and this seemed entertaining enough. This film arrives in a tall cardboard box and is rolled similarly to wallpaper or a poster. I will say, it smells strongly of plastic, so keep that in mind if you're sensitive to smells. To me, it wasn't a big deal but hey, thought I'd let you know. Now onto initial reactions: the first time i pulled on the film to see what it looked like, it was practically see through. It didn't get that beautiful slight opaque look until maybe 40-50 inches into the film. Not sure if that's normal, but it seemed like a waste. Though when i got to the opaque pieces, it was beautiful. I couldn't wait to get it onto the window. Application: Man this mess was hard. Like harder than my SATs a few years ago hard. Let's start from the beginning; I cleaned my window with some windex, then sprayed said window with some luke-warm water (not sure if the temp. matters). Seems easy until you have to peel the back later off of the film. Until you get the hang of it, it's a pain in the butt. I, an adult, had to call in my little sibling to help me get the film off of the back and even they had to work on each corner for around 10 minutes to succeed. But it was a nice bonding experience. Once you finally peel it, it makes a loud noise from the separation. You have to be careful and make sure the film doesn't collapse in on itself otherwise it will adhere somewhat. Once you get it on the window, it's pretty easy from there. I recommend over measuring a bit on purpose and then using a box cutter once it's set in place to get a precise cut. After everything, my windows are gorgeous. Looking outside and not being able to go out was starting to get depressing but now I see a bunch of rainbows which is awesome. I included some pictures of what the windows look like during daylight and the evening so you can get an idea. If you're looking for a fun project with satisfying pay off, this is it.

The media could not be loaded. Imagery from the manufacturer is misleading. It is this product, but the photos representing this film are much more opaque than real life. Good adherence with plenty of water, rainbow in affect with South facing window. Lets the light through and the prisms come through, it is pretty. Privacy is lacking to a large degree. disappointed. Not sure what I'll do next. I've included photos, the first 2 from the inside Outland the others, outside in. I haven't seen what it looks like yet at night with the lights on inside, I'll update life. 🚩Updated with night photos to add - if your lights are on inside you can see right through with approximately 25% obscurity only. Some of my photos at night are with the lights on inside then with lights off inside, and my neighbor's lights reflect off of my windows - but you can still see the light of the TV on with a prism of color surrounding it. This is WITH sheer curtains closed on the inside. Definitely not the film for privacy. It does let light through, which is this film's best benefit.
