    • Great concept, but one problem
Upated: I wanted this lock because one member of my family can't remember combinations (we have too many). I thought the fingerprint feature would be great. I like all of the features of this lock. Installation was pretty painless, though it was a bit difficult to plug the connecting cable in. I was surprised when there were two holes on the bottom of the outside part; I worry about weather and bugs getting in. So I got some rubber plugs to fill the holes, and those seem to work fine. Unfortunately, the fingerprint reader does not work fine. The family member who has trouble remembering the combinations entered their fingerprint, and all seemed to be working well. But the next day, the fingerprint reader was working erratically, sometimes working for them, sometimes not. The breaking point came when that same family member was near tears: after trying to open the lock with their fingerprint, and failing four times, the lock went into alarm mode and locked out everyone. So this person was left stuck outside without any way to get in until another family member got home. After resetting the lock, the fingerprint reader worked fine for another person, so it hadn't failed completely, it just wouldn't read one person's print. I understand the need for this security feature, but the unreliable fingerprint reader is a problem. I want to note that the other functions worked without issue. It reliably accepts a combination and the keys and fobs work fine. It accepts a huge number of fingerprints and combinations, enough that it's likely to work for your entire family, including the cousins who only visit once a year. I do want acknowledge the company's customer service. So many of the reviews here on Amazon complain about lousy customer service, but within days of posting this review, I received email from Votomy customer service with recommendations for making the fingerprint work better. I was unable to take advantage, as I'd already returned the lock to Amazon, but I want to give Votomy full credit for trying to make it right. ... show more

The seller had a discount running on this lock so when I saw the features and the price I was expecting to receive a piece of junk, poorly made, trashy lock....(I was buying it to test on a rental).... What I actually received is one of the best, most cost effective deadbolts for rentals or ABNB.... it is strong, easy to program, comes with easy instructions, clean finish,and simple installation. It took me about 20 minutes total... CONS: no Bluetooth or app. Manual programming only... Honestly though, for the price that I paid I can add 2 to each house and still be under $100 so I don't need the Bluetooth. I HIGHLY recommend this product. ... show more

The fingerprint scanner works exceptionally fast & correctly every time; moreover the backup keypad comes in handy whenever needed – brilliant! Also being able to share virtual access via guest codes has never been easier before and that alone makes it worth every penny spent. When it comes down to durability & performance this lock doesn’t disappoint at all. It feels incredibly well built thanks to premium quality materials used for manufacturing; making it one tough cookie for intruders alike .     • Look, feel and functionality great and easy to use!!
As I said in the headline, this was easy to install, program and makes it great to open the door with a finger, have a code if that didn't work and even pass chips for family and other outside the family needs to utilize the door and then just get the chip back when no longer needed.

This lock is new on the market. It worked well for about a month and then said the batteries needed to be changed. After changing them the bolt is not extending nor retracting fully. I have no idea why. So it maybe a risky buy.

I loved that setup didn't require that I make new holes in the door. It was really quick. The only thing I had to adjust was the deadbolt plate on my door frame, but I had an old door so it certainly wasn't the fault of this product. Setup of passwords, fobs, and fingerprints is really easy and the voice tells you what to do. We've done fingerprints for everyone in our large family. I love that it can do 100 fingerprints and 250 number codes. So far so good. This product is everything I've expected so far. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This is great. Fingerprint sensor works well, fobs are cool. Very easy to install and had it set up and installed in less than 10 minutes. I set the auto lock for about 10 seconds, but it can go even as short as a couple seconds. I even set my kids fingerprints so they can open the door without an issue. I actually just bought another one for my garage door that leads out into the backyard. I wish there were other colors available because now I need to replace my front door handle to match, but other than that, could not be happier. ... show more

I was able to install this in less than 30 mins. It fit directly on the previous hole so I did not have to drill. The instructions were very straight forward, it even included a guide in case you needed to drill a new hole. Honestly extremely useful.
